Christmas Island

The talented Rachel Skarsten appears to have found a home on the Hallmark Channel. Rachel has the uncanny ability to project vulnerability and softness one moment and being a badass the next.Here, she portrays airline pilot Kate Gabriel, assigned to ferry the wealthy, but damaged Sharpe family to Switzerland for the holidays. Bad weather forces their private jet down near Christmas Island in Canada. While waiting for the weather to clear, Kate develops a relationship with Andrew Walker's Oliver. The film explores how each of the characters find healing and love during the layover.I really enjoyed this movie. Hallmark is breaking the mold of some of their films, which is a good thing.Things I didn't like so much. Why was Kate's co-pilot so surly. Perhaps he was angry he didn't himself get the Captain's position? The whole setup with the bad weather needed a bit more attention. The non snow event on Christmas Island could have been made more realistic with a little more thought.Still, this is a very good movie, worth multiple views.Highly recommended!

I enjoyed this movie. Both actors are ones I like to watch in any movie.

I am a fan of any Andrew Walker holiday film and this one does not disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised to see the cheer unfold as the movie progressed. My first impression caused me to wonder if this film would be one of the better Hallmark Christmas films, but as the story moved along, the spirit of Christmas Island became contagious and the movie ended up being a real keeper. I have watched it multiple times and look forward to continued delight each time I watch the story of a holiday that is saved by kindness and love.

I have seen every Hallmark movie and this is one of my favorites. The chemistry between the stars is great. The setting is beautiful and the story is as plausible as a Hallmark movie can be.

It's a great movie watched several times, it's serious, funny an emotional all in 1 movie can't stop watching it. It's a must watch.
