Perfectly snug fit.
Great fit. Went together straight and snug. Checked alignment and this particular set could be used with out lapping. Though for the best possible performance; lapped. Used on a BLR and is the perfect hight for good scope clearance to reach the hammer. Have always had good luck with the Weaver scope rings and have always used the Weaver style ring mounts. For the money and the quality Weaver scope mount system can't be beat.

Works great
Looks are more traditional and not tactical, fits with my "77 BAR nicely. As far as machining and finish they appear to be well made, and being steel they have there weight to them. I went with the glossy finish and it paired very well with my blued finish on my rifle, very happy with the looks. Will update in time if the single mounting screw on either side of the rings holds zero with prolonged use. for the price I think they are a winner.

Description should read Top High Mount
Weaver products have always been very good quality. When searching for these particular rings I became a little confused if they were top high mount rings. I did verify from Weaver's website the rings were correct for my application. Either Amazon or Weaver should include the word HIGH MOUNT RINGS in the product description title. I did contact Amazon to suggest the change but yet to see it. FYI.... my application is a Remington model 700 .30-06 with Leupold 50mm objective lens scope. I went from a 40mm to 50mm objective. For fitment the split ring base on the rifle had to be changed out to the Weaver Picatinny-Style one piece base Remington L/A 20 MOA. This set up was very successful.

Very well made set of scope rings.
Seems like most rings any more that are popularly offered are tactical in nature. These function as they should and the looks don't subtract from the overall look of the rifle. Highly recommend this particular pair of scope rings.

Base clamp broke
Had these on a Remington 600, 308cal. Base clamp broke in half at mounting hole. Cheap pot metal. And yes I know how to mount scopes, I follow all torques specs. Just cheap pot metal.
