Citronella oil has been widely used in mosquito-repelling preparations, since, its aroma irritates the mosquitoes, however, we do not have access to proven research on the use of this oil for reducing mosquito bite marks. Having said that, we can suggest putting a few drops of chamomile and helichrysum essential oil (for eg. 1 drops each) in argan or jojoba oil (1 tsp) and this may help reduce irritation and heal the bite marks faster due to the restorative properties of this synergy blend. Q: Can this be used on mattresses and bed sheets ?

Hello, thanks for reaching out! Technically yes, if you sprinkle a few drops, it will keep mosquitoes away, however, it may also soil the light colored bedsheets. Sprinkling on the bedsheet also exposes the person sleeping on the it to direct contact with the oil, which may cause skin irritation in some cases.
