Pacsafe EXP45 Anti-Theft Carry-On Travel Pack, Slate

Fantastic pack

This is my second PACSAFE EXP45 carry-on travel pack (actually a backpack) and my first one wasversion 1 of the PACSAFE EXP45L backpack that I customized with Peak Design V1 Camera Cubes (small,medium and large sizes). I bought this second EXP45 carry-on backpack because it is still compatiblewith the Peak Design Camera Cubes V1 which are of the same dimensions/sizes as the newer PeakDesign Camera V2 cubes. The PACSAFE EXP45 Version 2 backpack has sturdier zippers than those of thePeak Design 45L camera backpack and like the original PACSAFE EXP45L version 1 can accept stronger/thicker combination locks to prevent theft of camera gear. The new version of the PACSAFE EXP45backpack has a holder as shown in the uploaded first image. I uploaded 4 images to emphasize that thenewer version of the PACSAFE EXP45 backpack is better than the original PACSAFE EXP45L Version 1.The nylon cloth of the PACSAFE EXP45 Version 2 is tougher than that of the EXP45L Version 1. My onlycomplain is that I need to open and close the latch that holds the 2 zipper sliders as many times aspossible so that it is easier to open in the future as the closed latch is tight and harder to open to get theinside contents as fast as possible.

Sleek well handled design in subtle grey. Good pack @ 25# for train travel and Grand Canyon touring for 2 weeks.

Another great product. This backpack will hold my 16" logitech gaming computer. Only backpack I have found that will accomodate my larger laptop.

If you're a frequent traveler and value anti-theft security measures, then look no further. I got this Pacsafe 45L backpack from Amazon about 4 yrs ago, super durable and versatile, makes a fantastic carry-on suitcase or backpack option (which it wears very comfortably on the back & shoulders.) I never check in luggage when flying.As for anti-theft, anytime TSA airport security has wanted to check my Pacsafe, they end up having me open it for them because they never can figure it out, especially considering their time constraints. So that should give you some indication how effective the lock mechanisms can be at frustrating a potential thief.The backpack in the photos is pretty much the same as what I have, although there appears to be some minor aesthetical differences. But the materials are virtually indestructible, very well made.

The laptop compartment is not that useful, plus the front hanger makes me think someone could grab me very easy.
