Addicting and unique experience!
I have had so much fun with this game! I have not put it down! This is my first time playing this game ever since I never picked up the PS3 version. My favorite part of the game is the music! The orchestra did an amazing job and it really adds to the experience. The game features 6 totally unique characters which you can build with different skills. I have been using the Sorceress and there are so many ways to build her! The artwork is amazing and the dialogue is awesome! This game is so worth the experience! The story is also really cool!

Great old fashioned beat 'em up
This is a fantastic beat 'em up with a sword and sorcerer atmosphere. There is a ton of content to keep you busy alone or with friends. The local coop mode is great.

Fun for a few days,
I like VAnillaware games. Dragon's Crown is fun for a few days. I'd say it is one of their weaker games. I do love the art design style. The gameplay itself can get stale quick. There's not much variety to mix it up like some of their other games.

It's an awesome game. Bad for teeth.
It's a video game. I brushed my teeth with it.

If you're looking at jump-right-in arcade fun, this might not be for you
I bought this hoping I could press start and jump right into some mindless classic side-scrolling arcade fun. Unfortunately I found myself bogged down with unnecessarily complicated inventory/character management. For instance: instead of plowing through enemies and equipping loot, treasure is acquired through a process of directing your thief to open a treasure chest after which you will be informed that you acquired an item of value from A to E, but you can't even look at the item until you get to the end of the level. At the end of the level, you can see the different types of items you obtained in this manner, but cannot see their specific attributes. You will need to spend gold to "appraise" these items to see these attributes, after which you can decide to sell or keep them. Next, if you want to equip one of them, you need to go through a process that is learn-able but BY GEORGE is it unnecessarily complicated. It involves 2 menus: one where you can look at your items by category but not interact with them, and another where you add items to slots and equip them. Doing this also adds these items to the in-level item selection system, which means you have to scroll through them to get to you healing potions in the heat of the moment. Oh, and for some mildly infuriating reason you have to take your equipment in for repairs after each level. This is just tedious extra work for a game that people looking for stress-free hack-and-slash fun are going to buy.Overall it seems like there's just too much crap to go through to get to the fun part. I feel like I'm spending just as much time walking around "town" and shuffling inventory as I am killing monsters. It's like this game was designed for people who liked old school arcade games by people who had never played them.

Old school
Reminds me of Nintendo and Sega games back in the day or the arcade games. This just looks and plays way better.
