The Prince Of Egypt - The Musical

We loved the animated version but absolutely adore the live action one! The additions improve on the story!

This was a stunning production with a talented cast with great music and stunningly staged Wasn't sure I would like it but I left the "theater" feeling as if I just saw a great Broadway show (and I have seen a lot on Broadway and off)

I love the original movie and its companion film “Joseph, King of Dreams.” By the end of this emotionally vapid adaptation, however, I was rolling my eyes. Moses gets a song mourning the death of the first born of Egypt as his responsibility (greeted with thunderous post-production applause as if it was the end of “Wicked” Act 1 instead of an attempt at a deeply emotional moment), which leads into the celebratory “When You Believe.” The moment is awkward and fights against itself, killing what was once such a glorious, moving song. And somehow, the story manages to go even further downhill from there. This strong cast with incredible voices cannot save the terrible book and bland new songs.
