A must have if you have a cat
I've never written a product review before - but this kitty restraint bag is heavenly. Our 16 year old cat needed oral antibiotics, twice a day. He's been healthy his whole life, super sweet and mello guy - but he turned psycho with hulk strength when trying to dose him. Even the first dosage in the vets office - holy cow he went postal. The towel burrito did not fare any better and I did not like grandpa kitty to be so stressed, so I was glad I found this. WHEW! Hands down the best thing since sliced bread. I fully unzip the top of the bag and spread it open. Pick up kitty and as I sit him on top of it, I am able to quickly secure the velcro neck section and THANK YOU for adding a nice patch of velcro along the top, just behind the shoulder area- I'm able to secure that - then give him a moment to chill before attempting to zip the back up. Kitty is fully secure, I don't have to worry about trying to keep ahold of him and he stopped freaking out like he did with a towel burrito. After his oral medication, I wait a moment, slowly unzip the top, rub his tummy, then slowly un-velcro the neck area - he slowly steps out of the bag, and is not stressed out. We've had to do a 2nd round of antibiotics for an additional week and also an added dosage of oral probiotics. With this bag - I'm able to do so without kitty becoming super stressed. Sure, he still absolutely hates syringed meds to his mouth, but once his neck is velcro'd in the bag- he doesn't even try to leave anymore- slowly lays in the bag, I zip it up and dose him. This bag removed a lot of stress for both kitty and me. Once in the bag, he quickly accepts the situation. The price was crazy cheap and it's a sturdy product. Very happy that I will have this on hand for future use.

Works Well for a Feline Who Hates to Have Her Nails Trimmed
I have a cat named Annabelle who is a Russian Blue. She has a stocky and muscular build. She is very strong willed and does not like her nails trimmed. We were at odds with this because she needed her nails trimmed fairly often. We tried sitting her in my lap. That did not work. We tried placing her in a hammock type sling. She just wiggled her way out of it. We then tried this Restraint Bag. It is tricky to get her into, but if I hold her on the scruff and have my husband place her legs in the bag, it zips up nicely from the back. We can get her inside of the bag and have a nail technician at the Vet clip her nails quite quickly. We prefer a nail tech because they are used to trimming nails quickly. We hope Annabelle gets rather used to this after a while. However, we do have to give her a mild sedative (prescribed by the Vet) before we bring her to the Vet. This calms her down a little bit. She is still resistant, but not to the degree the first time I we tried this without the sedative. It is the only way we can have her nails trimmed because 1) we do not want her to be uncomfortable with long nails and 2) we do not like our furniture scratched. Her safety and comfort come first. We handle her with care and give her a treat after she gets her nails trimmed.

fits tiny cats!
the item is exactly as pictured, good and strong quality, zippers are well, etc.. i have the tiniest tortoiseshell cat (she hasn’t changed sizes since 4 months) and she fit perfect after making adjustments! i can’t speak for cats that move crazy though, my cat just laid on the floor while in this and wouldn’t move, good product overall

It does what I want, with AMAZING customer service!
TL:DR OVERALL: I think this is a great item, especially for the price. Really a wonderful tool for trimming reluctant cat feetsies. My cat HATES having her nails trimmed. She won't let me touch her feet, and she does not tolerate being held, picked up, or put in a purrito. So in desperation I picked this up. The quality of the material is good, it's tough so that she can't scratch and bite her way out of it, and the seams are good and tight quality.SIZE: I measured my cat but found the bag a bit small on my cat, so I'd go with a size up if they seem on the higher range of the size you are looking at.FOOT HOLES: My cat still struggles violently while inside the bag. The zippered holes you can pull her feet through (I do one at a time) are really big, so sometimes she twists herself up inside the bag and manages to shove both her front feet through one foot's hole, all the way past her collarbone. So when you use it, you can lock the hole to be a bit smaller by closing the zipper part way and turning the little handle of the zipper toward the closed part of it, so if your cat shoves through and tries to push it open more the zipper handle will block the zipper from moving up the line and loosening up.LOOSE STRINGS: The seams are tight and good, but there were a few loose threads which is pretty normal for modern cloth manufacturing nowadays. Just turn it inside out when you get it and trim those off before using it so your cat won't get tangled in them.THINGS I RECOMMEND:When I first got the bag, I sprinkled catnip in it, spread it open, and left it for 2 weeks on the floor near one of her favourite lounging spots. She spent those two weeks laying on the bag and feeling comfortable with it and getting her smell all over it, which I'd hoped would make the experience go a bit easier for her.I bought calming pheromone spray and sprayed the bag all over and let it dry to reduce her anxiety. Before I put her in the bag, I give my cat several pinches of catnip in a bowl and let her partake to get good and stoned so she'll be a bit more relaxed also. After we're done with the bag, I always give her wet catfood as a treat once she's taken out to reward her so she will start to connect the experience with another good thing. I would use treats, but strangely, my cat turns her nose up at every single brand and type cat treat I've ever tried, but she goes nuts for wet food so that's what I use lol.UPDATED: I didn't find much fault with this except for the sizing really, and they contacted me to ask if there was anything I'd like them to do. I thought this was nice, they went out of their way over something I didn't even really say was that much of an issue.

Great for administering liquid medications
My neighbour is a first-time cat Mum to an 8-month-old brother-sister pair of adolescent kittens, and takes her responsiblity *very* seriously. I was babysitting the boy a few days ago while she took his ailing sister to the vet, and she came home almost in tears. She has to give both of them liquid antibiotics for a week because the girl had a parasitic infection. I've lived with cats my whole life and she's been coming to me for advice and help. I knew from experience she wouldn't be able to dose two squirmy, stroppy feline teenagers by herself, so I said I'd assist. The first dose was a struggle, albeit successful eventually, but traumatic for kittens and their owner alike. I came home and ordered this restraint bag on Amazon and requested same day delivery. It arrived 10 minutes before I was due to return for their second dose of the day, and the bag made such a difference! They're not happy about being put into it, one after the other, and it does take two of us, my neighbour keeping the kitten and all its four paws inside (we zipped the leg openings closed) and me zipping up the back closure and securing the neck band. Then she holds the bagged cat in her lap and it only takes me seconds to shoot the vile-tasting medicine down the victim's throat. This way I become the villain rather than their Mum. We only have two more days to go and have become quite efficient with practice. The kittens are resigned to their fate as soon as they see me come in the door, although the timid boy mews sadly while his more assertive sister gives me the stink-eye. However, the humans haven't been scratched since the first pre-bag struggle and they've had all their medicine. My neighbour now plans to use it to trim their claws. I just wish it came in an XL size that might fit my giant Maine Coon if he ever needed a restraint. He's pretty mellow, but there's only so much a self-respecting cat will tolerate.

Fabulous way of getting to cut a cat’s nails.
Loved it. It was so much easier to cut my cat’s nails. She remained calm instead of struggling like I thought she would. Good value and worth the money. Also it is sturdy and strong and won’t easily brake. I think it will last a long time.

Product Arrived as Described. Cat Uncooperative...
Cat straight jacket arrived as described... looks like a good product. -1 star for lack of instructions on how to get the cat in the bag without bloodshed... Picture is of cats not in bag...

Cat hates it but I love it
Hated by my cat, but she hates all forms of car travel and all items used to aid it. And it's certainly easier to get her into this than into a traditional cat carrier. Made my last few vet trips significantly easier.
