Great addition to your shop for the $
This is the 2nd trans Jack i have purchased from here. First was a blue one, second is a red one. Holds a lot of weight, I personally did NOT want a hand pumping one that might be less expensive, the foot pedal is WAY easier to use, keeps your hands free to wrestle with the transmission or whatever, axles, control arms if your removing or installing coil springs, etc. Technically is strong enough to lift a big block Chevy engine into place from underneath a car on a lift....... That is strong! (I would never attempt that though) but to pull a ford F350=F450=F550 transmission and transfer case at one time this can easily handle that weight. Nice wide base, but the wheels on the 4 corners are difficult to get across even tiny debris and junk on the floor, a crushed cigarette butt will prevent the jack from moving at all, I also needed to grease my wheels when I assembled the jack. They were "oiled" but grease made them roll much easier but I have some leftover harbor freight casters with rubber wheels that are 3 1/2 inches tall to help make this roll better and over debris cause lets face it, we don't sweep our garage bay every day each time you pull a car in. I do my best to keep my bay clean but rust and dirt and leaves fall from cars, blow in from outside etc. My only complaint is those little steel wheels that have a rough time rolling around. The Jack itself 10000000000% perfection! Sturdy, well built, assembly is on YOU to get correct! Will take a lot of abuse and keep on rocking! If I ever need a third one, I will absolutely buy this one again! Just be careful, I sanded and rounded the edges on the top plate and the silver plates that bolt to the sides with the chain links, they are a little too sharp so a cookie pad on a die grinder and smoothed over the foot pedal edges and corners, top plate edges and corners and chain link plates as well so I don't get cuts and skin slices is a good 10 minute preventative measure but that is my preference, not the manufacturer of the jack. Jack I recommend, first one is now 3-4 years old, and 2nd one has pulled 3 transmissions so far and a Chevelle rear axle and replaced front 2 and rear coil springs on 71 Chevelle. Nice when you can pay hundreds less and get the same performance and longevity as a high end name brand. Does not come around often but the occasional one you can "Win" then enjoy it. This is a total win for me.Hope this review helps you with your decision and best of luck with your transmission/axle jack required projects.

Wheel bracket not straight
Product works great, there was just a small hiccup with the wheel bracket and the wheels not sitting straight preventing the jack from properly rolling around. I contact the vender and their customer support team was excellent, they shipped new bracket to correct the issue. They continued to follow up with update status of how long it would take to ship/in route/arrival time every step of the way, they even checked up on the item after receiving it. Overall great bang for your buck the jack works great and if you happen to need any assistance with customer support they are actually there any time I would ask any questions or raise concerns about the situation I would have an answer with a resolution next day. I would buy this product again if I needed to.Brian

Good value for occasional use
Had to replace first unit, hydraulic cylinder was defective. Amazon did excellent job coordinating and replacing unit in short time. New unit works fine for the price. Good value for occasional use.

I read the reveiws
I needed a trans jack and looked at most of the offered units on Amazon and REVIEWED most of the complaints and heeded some of the concerns. I did have to use a long wood clamp to hold the pump while I installed the foot pedal, I installed large washers that allowed the wheels to fit flush to the legs, lubed the wheels and swivels and did use multiple straps to secure the trans to the lift plate. It worked great, be safe and think about the weight and centering it.

Does the job, ok, poor instructions
Ok so lets start with the positives. Once its put together it does the job, the piston is heavy duty and I have no doubt it can handle the weight it says it can. It has 2 locking wheels, and attachments for mounting chains around the transmission as well as eye hooks etc. Its very easy to use with the included handle and foot pedal, and price wise its very reasonable. Now the negatives. The instructions are useless, you basically need to figure out how to put it together using the pictures in the ad. When installing the legs mount them loosely and install the wheels then stand it up, level the unit out on the floor and then tighten the bolts. The worst part though is installing the foot pedal, because the pivot point for the pedal holds down the pump spring mechanism. There is a snap ring on the end of the pivot you need to remove to then push out the pivot and install the pedal. First off the snap ring holes were JUSSST that much too tiny for standard snap ring pliers. Then you need to somehow push down the pump to slide the pivot out. Once you do that, you can't put the pivot back in without compressing the pump spring which is impossible by hand. What I ended up doing was sticking the pedal in and using a flathead screwdriver as the pivot, pushing the pump spring as far down as possible. and then sliding the screwdriver out slowly while pushing the pivot back in. It sounds easier than it was.Once that is complete getting the nut on the tilt end of the platform was also tricky but not as bad. Fully assembled the platform is a little rickety due to the available adjustments. I wish it was more stable but it stays in place and it does the job. For a home user this is fine, but I can see very clearly where a better quality unit would be preferable in a professional environment. One final note I saw one review where the user complained the unit collapsed on them. They very clearly from the pictures installed the legs upside down. This is not the fault of this unit, its very clear how installing them upside down would cause that failure. The proper orientation should be obvious from the pictures on the ad, box, and instructions. If you can't do that then you should consider other hobbies.

Seams well built.
Seams well built for the money. Has some wobble when fully extended, but doesn't affect the function. So far it has done well
