Im reviewing this hair chalk for dark hair since I didn't see any. These pictures do not do these colors justice. My daughter is so excited she loves it. I did use hair spray after so it doesn't get all over and we did put it on outside because I noticed there were tiny bits of chalk coming off when I used it.

It works well but the little resin that holds the chalk is made of metal so the edges that slide down your hair are kind of sharp and I am afraid cause damage to the hair.

I bought this for my Halloween costume in October. I was dressing up as Harley Quinn so I wore my hair in pigtails and used the blue color on one side and red on the other side. The pigment was great and my hair looked really good that night but I’m giving 4 stars because of 2 issues I had:1. I was wearing a white tshirt and it stained the shoulders of my shirt and somehow also stained my white silicone phone case?? I honestly have no idea how that happened I wasn’t even talking on the phone that night and it wasn’t near my hair but somehow my white silicone phone case was dyed red the next day and it wouldn’t wash off. Luckily it was just a $5 phone case from Five Below and I just ended up buying a new case on Amazon. The stains did wash out of my shirt though!2. It took 2 weeks for the pigment to fully wash out of my hair. I have natural dark blonde hair with highlights. The ends of my hair were tinted blue on one side and tinted red on the other side even after shampooing twice every time I showered. It wasn’t a super dark color or super noticeable unless I pointed it out to people but after a few washes one side looked more ashy/toned blueish blonde and the other side looked super brassy redish blonde. The highlighted pieces were especially noticeable. For some reason this tint lasted for over 2 weeks and I washed my hair 3x per week.Otherwise, the product worked fine for what I needed it for. The aftermath was just annoying.

My daughter loves this hair chalk, we just ran out of our previous order and we had to get more, very vibrant colors, long lasting and easy to wash out. Adds wonderful splashes of colors to help you really stand out.

Color was not vibrant. Did not stay in place on hair. Will not purchase this product again.

Some of the colors showed up decently on light brown hair but others (pink and yellow) were basically invisible. Colors didn’t last long - came off quickly during the day. All of that wouldn’t be a deal breaker since it’s fun for the kids BUT the actual application is the reason for 2 stars. In order to get the colors to show up the hair needs to be pretty tightly clamped. The chalk is held in little tins and the edges pulled on the hair every time. No fun.
