high quality bulbs, easy setup, great starter kit,
Bought a lot of gadgets over the years to help alleviate pain. I had been reading about red light therapy and its benefits for a while, I won a raffle gifting me a red light therapy session, massage and hyperbaric chamber, the owner kindly recommended this as an excellent kit for home, and that it is. Easy to setup, stable, has higher quality bulbs than others available.I do about 4 sessions a day, so farMy psoriasis has improved!I do one before bed and I’m out like a light all night.I’m waking up earlier and feeling fresher and being more productive (granted could be placebo)But most impressively I have had serious shoulder pain for weeks, hardly lift my arm. And this has helped immensely, after the first day I could lift my arm for first time in weeks!I have psoriatic arthritis and this is now part of my daily routine and I believe a really valuable one, for not a lot of money, that has personally been beneficial.

Either Doesn't Emit at 850nm or Does So Too Weakly to be of Any Use
Light at 850nm isn't visible, but it's still perceptible. I have a RLT bulb that emits at 850nm and I can feel the light emitted by that lightbulb at this wavelength as heat, especially on sensitive skin on my face. With this item, I cannot feel this heat on any setting (either in 660nm + 850nm mode or 850nm alone mode) even if I put my face a centimeter or two in front of the panel and keep it there for several minutes. I don't have an infrared light detector or other instrument that could prove definitively that this device doesn't actually emit at 850nm, but I am 99% confident that it doesn't. If I'm wrong and it does emit at 850nm, it does so too weakly to be perceptible or of any therapeutic use. I will be returning it for this reason. Perhaps the fact that this device is not equipped with a heat sink should have been a clue that it is not a big emitter in the infrared. The device does emit at 660nm. The light is a deep cherry red. The panel is somewhat, though not extremely bright and I can look directly at it from close range without feeling like I need sunglasses to protect my eyes. The literature that comes with this device states that it is rated at 75 watts, but my smart meter indicates that it actually draws about 26 watts when it is on its full power setting. The power adapter it comes with is rated for a maximum of 36 watts, so I don't know where the manufacturer's 75 watt rating comes from.Others have complained about its tripod. I think the tripod is adequate. It allows you to orient the panel at just about any angle without tipping over, provided that you expand its adjustable base broadly enough. If this device actually did emit at 850nm as claimed, I would have been pleased with it.

Improved sleep it really does have 850nm wavelength
The media could not be loaded. I've always wanted to try a lamp like this, but I was hesitant to order one as I wasn't sure if it would deliver on its claims of having an 850nm wavelength, which is said to penetrate the body more effectively than 650nm. I've read about the various benefits of near-infrared light, and I can attest that it has helped me sleep better when used in the evening. While I can't speak to its effectiveness for pain relief, the literature suggests that NIR light can be beneficial in that regard. This lamp costs a fraction of what the bigger brands charge, and I believe it's just as good, although the quality of the construction, particularly the tripod, is not the best. To test whether the lamp truly emits more than 800nm wavelength, you can use your phone camera, which will pick up the light, unlike the human eye. Check my video.Overall, this is a good lamp to have, and at this price, I think it's doing the job well.

Arrived quickly adapter missing
Light has arrived, looks great, highly frustrating as the adaptor is missing and I can’t plug it in. Will have to return this item. It’s the second red light product I have ordered from Amazon this week that has been faulty.

EASY TO SET UP!
This lamp is so easy to set up! It took about 10 minutes didn't even have to look at the manual. I love the flexible arms and adjustable heads and the timer option is great also!
