Bought this for a fun day we put on. It sounded good and is easy to use. My assistant commandeered it, and loved it! Takes a fair bit of battery power but that's to be expected really.

Please be aware of this review is being written from a totally blind persons perspectiveI could not get the batteries in the correct way… Was trying all kinds of ways, in the end, a cited friend of mine came round and we got it working eventually. The batteries are really complicated. They kind of go in an up-and-down pattern around the circle of the megaphone.The siren is deafening so much, so we could only test it for a couple of seconds… Bearing in mind, we were in my living room at the time! Have carried it over my shoulder and with the batteries in, it's pretty heavy, but is stable. I look forward to actually using it at an event.I thought I was going to have to return it as it wasn't working… Fortunately, that is not the case.Can see why professionals use it it's very loud.I like the detachable microphone and the squeeze button to talk which you can also lock by sliding the button upwards until it clicks.Will have to hide it when my two young nephews come round though! Otherwise, they will set the siren off… And it's not a toy to be messed with! But they won't care though, think it's fun! Watch out for your ears…You'll definitely be heard when using this megaphone… Just as long as you put the batteries in the right way, and don't have the trouble I did!

We used this to help us communicate to people in a surf event, it's load and the siren is really useful.

This megaphone clearly states it comes complete with Batteries... It doesn't. I had the item delivered the night before an event it was required for. As such when it turned out the supplier had falsely claimed it had batteries its now to late for me to find anywhere that sells the 8x D cells it requires and as such is completely useless to me.On top of that as it doesn't come with the Batteries it states, you can add another £20-£30 to the price for 4x D Cell twin packs required to use this.

The battery cover catch is not very robust and I have had to tape the battery cover closed.

Got this for the marshals at Airsoft Plantation - worked great, and they had fun with it, will continue to use it 👍👍👍
