Easy to setup
Setting up this backdrop stand is quicker than brewing a cup of coffee. It’s sturdy, holds my backdrops securely, and packs up easily for on-the-go shoots. Tedious to set up but works well.
Over the years, I've worked on various graphic design and motion graphics projects for clients. Most projects are straightforward, but others have required keying or chroma-keying elements. However, I lacked the basic equipment to do so and would often outsource this work. Hence when I came across this collapsible green screen backdrop, I decided to try it out.Assembly is fairly straightforward, and although it uses an aluminium frame it isn't the best quality and the tightening clamps and screws are made from plastic which, from experience, don't hold up to well in the long run. Perhaps the only fidgety part of the assembly is getting the correct side of the green screen in the right place on the arm. Only the upper side of the screen features a small slit for the joints to meet and screw onto the tripod.Conveniently, It does come with a carry case, and can be packed away when not in use, but I found the whole process of setting up the screen and packing it away again a little too tedious, and would have much preferred a simpler solution like roll up banner backdrop, as this includes too many steps. But when fully erected it does work rather well, it's fairly big and gets the job done.
