this was just a basic lotion to me. didn't really sink in super well, nothing spectacular to write home about. but did hydrate - maybe use PM mostly?

I am very particular anymore with beauty, skincare and body care products; I want to make sure what I'm using is made with the most natural and gentle ingredients. So, I'm very pleased with this Organic Body Lotion (it says Amara Organics on the label, so I believe that is the brand of this product). This is USDA certified organic, and so I like that what I'm using on my body is gentle and has natural ingredients. 🍃The lotion is very moisturizing, and does give a nice long lasting nourishing feeling. A little goes a long way, (as stated on the label); I am pleasantly surprised at how thick and rich the lotion is. I believe even though it is labeled as uncented, it has a slight floral/earthy/botanical scent to it (but is not overpowering, or that noticeable).I have sensitive skin, and this had worked well for me; I'm impressed with how well it works, as well as the longevity of it. This is an 8 fl oz bottle, and so it will last me a while. I appreciate that this lotion is cruelty-free, is very transparent about the ingredients and information/directions on usage, and I absolutely love it.😊This is my new go-to lotion for my hands and body; I work with my hands a lot, and so they're dry a lot. This lotion has worked wonders in moisturizing and being gentle for my hands, as well as other parts of my body. I would absolutely order this lotion again, and/or order one for a friend or loved one. It is an excellent product!! 💗💗

Received the bottle of lotion quickly. When I see health and beauty products packaged in a generic bottle with a printed stick-on label, I think small-batch product. I was happy to see it had an inside seal, as well as a sticker with a lot number and expiration date. The directions say to shake before use which I could see why when I opened it. The ingredients had separated and there was very clearly oil sitting on the top of what looked like other layers. It took more than an average amount of shaking to get it mixed. The number one ingredient is EVOO, and at least 4 more oils listed so needless to say, this is an oily product. I thought it was too oily, even though I applied sparingly as directed. It also says to allow to absorb into the skin, which I read as wait for it sink in. It's been about an hour and my hands are still very oily while I write reviews (and I have very dry skin). This is not something I'd use in the daytime, but I might try using it at night before I go to bed. I like the (lack of) fragrance or purfumes. It has a light, natural scent. When I researched the ingredients, I found that Sweet Orange Oil is used as a natural fragrance but can cause photosensitivity, so probably best to wear at night for that reason anyway. Also, Potassium Carbonate (listed as natural earth mineral* with an asterisk) is an alkaline substance that is known to be caustic. It's used as an emulsifier but since the lotion was not emulsified, maybe the content is low. Though I'm not sure why the asterisk without context. This Amara Organics nourishing hand and body lotion is more oil than lotion. The first ingredient is olive oil and it shows. I’m including a picture of my hand after applying this. I could barely pick up my phone to get a picture because my hands were so greasy. I applied it to my arms and legs and it left them nice and smooth but I don’t like an oily residue from my lotion. While it dried a little after a few minutes, my arms and legs were still oily. I like a lotion that absorbs into my skin without a residue. I’m only removing one star because the information here is clear that it is a blend of plant oils. I just expected more of a lotion. Overall, it is a high quality product that is certified organic. This says it is unscented but I did detect a mild natural scent that is likely from the ingredients and not an added perfume. I have sensitive skin and I have not experienced an irritation while using this product.

Very smooth and moistuzing cream. Mixing it in with oil is the best combonation!

We use a lot of lotion in my house and I was interested in trying out this product. As others have said, the ingredients are all natural which would be good if it actually worked. To get a good idea of how this feels, go put a bit of olive oil in your hands and try to rub it in. My hands didn't feel moisturized at all, the still felt dry. They just looked and felt greasy. I tried to rub it in for a while and there was no way I could have used a computer, driven, etc., without getting oil all over whatever I touched. I had to wash my hands thoroughly before I could do anything. I won't be using this again.

So far I have been pleased with the Amara Organics body lotion. I love that it is made with all-natural ingredients and is unscented. For those reasons, it is already a step above almost every other lotion I have tried. I like to keep my beauty products as natural as possible. The lotion does leave an oily feel and sheen on my hands, but not as bad as some others. I put it on at night, and by the morning my hands are no longer oily and are nice and soft. You don't have to wear cotton gloves over this lotion, but it is always an option if the consistency bothers you. The bottle says to shake it before use, but when I have tried to shake it, the product doesn't move. Maybe it will blend better once there is less in the bottle and it has more room to shift around. Overall, I like this lotion but it is rather oily. I would not use it during the day.
