UPDATE: Not iOS compatible AND battery won't hold a charge
Two problems:(1) Nothing on the website here said that the camera would only upload its pictures via an Android- or PC-style connection. I have iOS devices. So I assumed that the camera would work in either setting. In truth, however, the charging and connecting cord that came with the camera *does* fit into the port of my iOS laptop, but the laptop *does not* see the device at all. I've tried several tricks to get the laptop to recognize it, but no luck.(2) Early-on after starting up the camera, it ran out of power. OK. Arrived with a small charge, but now needs to be charged. I get it. But I've now used the charging cord that came with the camera, and the camera will not charge. I've tried it charging on three different USB ports, and it won't charge. So....Pity. I like the look and feel of this camera. And I liked the way it performed. UNTIL it wouldn't connect to my iOS and then wouldn't re-charge.UPDATE: The company has been extremely cooperative with me in working out solutions to the issues I noted. First of all, with a different cable, the camera uploaded to my iOS device like a charm.Second, they replaced the camera, and the new one seems to have no battery problems. I understand that the battery lasts about a year, but they can repair it when it dies, so I'm anticipating no problems in the future. I've also given them some feedback about battery life and making the battery serviceable by the customer (via buying a new one to put in, as we do for so many of our battery-run things nowadays).I still think the camera itself is a great little thing. It takes great photos and has a number of settings so you can customize the kind of results you want to get. I'm still learning to use it. But so far, so good!

My Go-To Thermal Camera for PCB Troubleshooting
I've been using this thermal camera to troubleshoot PCB circuit boards, and it's been a great addition to my workbench. USB video output using OBS helps me document everything as I work. When I got the camera, I let the battery fully discharge and then charged it back up to 100%. After that full charge, I updated the firmware from V5.5.52 to V5.5.72. I recommend using only the included USB cable to connect to your PC. The cable is a USB-C to USB-C (with a USB-C to USB-A adapter included). It is short, but I used a USB extender. The camera is also easy to operate; tap on the touchscreen to adjust the distance, allowing the Fusion mode to work correctly. Overall, I'm thrilled to have this camera on my workbench.

Great product! Great support! Read all about it from a Facility Manager who made a mistake!
I am following up on my previous reveiw of 3 stars. I have changed it to 5! After about. Month of using the Therm Cam and getting great results with it. I used it to trace a water leak above sheetrock, ground water coming up through the floor, heat leaks in my buildings and many other facility uses.My camera stopped charging but it was due to one of my workers not using the given charging cord it comes with. When he gave it to me I tried charging it and had the same results. I wrote the company well after the return time and they were willing to send me a totally new camera. When I received it I took the cord out and plugged it into the old camera and it started to charge! I then found the box it came in and there was the original cord. It has a resistor in it which makes it special to charging the camera. You can not use any USBC charging cord. I was embarrassed to tell them but also happy that I didn’t get ripped off. Since then I returned the origanal camera and bought another to have as a spare. I have a Flur also but this video screen shows so much detail it’s like x-ray vision. Can’t beat this price.

Nice, but electronics can fail! Recommend buying the extended warranty.
I’ve ordered two of these, but had to return both since they stopped working in a very short period of time. The last one I ordered would just shut down, even just after I would fully charge the battery. I believe it was an issue related to the battery charging because it seemed like it never had enough battery to work for more than a few minutes. It was defective, not a design flaw. Please know that I love this item and this brand!! It is handy for so many different things. It offers a lot of features and has a nice touchscreen. Just be aware, like with any electronics, that it can fail. Given the cost of this, I recommend purchasing an extended warranty through Amazon to be on the safe side, as it is a great handy item! I do recommend this product. Once I see it on sale again, I will purchase it again WITH an extended warranty, then I can rest assured.UPDATE (March 2025): Wow! HFS Tools saw my review and is sending me a replacement unit! What outstanding customer service! Kudos to this great company and for caring about their customers and ensuring they are satisfied! I added a star to my review because HFS Tools truly takes good care of their customers.

super cool camera
bought it for trying to see how much heat is coming through my attic. My insulation in the attic sucks. this shows it very well. you can look at the floor with it and see your foot prints where you just walked. it has low and high temp differential bullseye on screen so you can see the actual temps. I'm sure there are better ones on the market but for homeowner that does hvac sidework it helps with that too.

Great tool to detect cold air leaks
This tool is lots of fun! See where your cat was sitting a minute ago, or where the door is not closing properly and letting the hot air in (we are in Florida). Very useful.
