This upgrade version with IR LED is the best! Excellent picture quality.
I previously owned GreenYi's older model and was very happy with the performance of that unit. This upgraded version with IR LEDs is even better because it does not interfere with drivers behind you or cause any unwanted attention. The connection is very stable to my Android and the picture quality is excellent. I would highly recommend this unit to anybody who needs a backup camera. In addition, I also tried to use this as a baby monitor for when the baby seat is facing to the rear. It works very well, and the IR nighttime vision allows us to see our child even in complete darkness. Highly recommended!

It works. No WiFi connection problems.
I got this as a backup camera for my 13 year old Rav4 using my phone for display. It works fine with the expected slight inconvenience of fiddling with the phone to start the app. To avoid the wifi connect time issue, I have it connected all the time (accessory power) instead of using the backup light power, so the camera wifi connects as soon as I get out of range of my home wifi. All of this said, installing this thing is a project. To get power to it, you have to get the wire through the body and attached to appropriate wires with some kind of weather seal. The means removing interior panels, routing to appropriate wires, etc. Because mine is attached to the rear cargo door, this also meant fishing through a weather proof wiring harness. Running a video cable to a dedicated monitor would not have been that much harder, but I'm still fine with displaying on my phone because there is not really room for a separate monitor.A technical detail...the camera comes with two power cables...one for plugging into a usb A connector and one for connecting to the car's 12 volt supply. I used the USB connector for testing, then spliced the two together when I needed a longer cable. After that, I tested again with a USB source, which did not work. After some exploration, it looks like the 12 volt cable drops the 12 volts to 5 volts, so it would drop 5 volts to less than it takes to power the camera. Cutting off the USB connector and connecting to 12 volts worked fine.Final comment...the camera has no hood to keep the lens dry, so the image in the rain is compromised. I will probably make a simple hood to mitigate this.

Poor or No Support
I went to a lot of trouble installing this on my brand new 2024 Wagoneer Series III. Mounted this with pop rivots on my front bumper (which makes it somewhat permanently mounted) and wired the unit ot my fuse box. The camera comes on when the vehicle is not running. Turns off when I enter the car and will not stay on. It appears to not want Apple CarPlay to be on but that feature is automatic on my Wagoneer.Tried getting support but this Chinese firm just ignores the issues. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SUPPLIER!

Update to previous review: Poor interface with Tripjoy App
I wanted to make a correction to my previous review in order to be fair to the seller and manufacturer, and to help Tacoma owners. The camera itself was solid and definitely weather proof. The issue I had was mostly user error. I now realize that for it to be used with the bed outlet located in the truck bed, you need to activate the bed outlet switch in the cabin to the higher voltage. You will also have to open the app each time you want use the camera and connect the camera. At least that is what I had to do. Once you connect the camera to the app via blue tooth/wi fi , you have a good field of view.

3-1/2 stars A good idea and decent imaging, but some cruddy features
The installation is really easy, or a bit complicated, depending on whether you want to hardwire the cam to power, and/or have it automatically come on/go off when you put your car in reverse. It is connected and controlled by your cellphone via wi-fi. A few problems with this setup.First, wi-fi, really? I use wireless Android Auto - which this app does not support - which takes a few seconds to connect when I start my car. The Wi-Fi connection to the camera can be painfully slow, and it has caused Android Auto to fail to connect. Why wouldn't they use Bluetooth, like every other device? Or better yet, make it work with Android Auto!Another problem with the phone app interface is that you have to open your screen (and unlock it if you have it set that way), and then the image is slightly less than the size of your phone screen. It's a lot of fumbling around for a backup camera - I find myself ignoring it.But the image is good. HD and even shows decent images at night/low light.

Great camera
Camera functions as described clear picture, connected to my android phone and tablet with no issues! Only negative comment would be lack of instructions...basically on all features...trial and error!
