Don't let the price tag fool you. It's a gem.
Complete shredder straight out of the packaging (guitar was wrapped in a light foam blanket inhaler which was then inside of a tight form fitting Styrofoam encashment snugly fit inside of the box)noticed a couple hardly noticeable spots1. where the clear coat was a little warpy but it's on the backside so for me its whatever.2, there is a tiny white streak towards the tip of the headstock, side closest to me.Again anyone else really wouldn't notice and in my opinion gives it character. As i awaited the 3 days until delivery, I was thinking of all the things I could do over time to make it more LTD like (usually what I always get) like throwing in 81/85 active EMG's, replacing the stop bar and tail piece with a black chrome set and getting black grover locking tuners, power slinky strings etc.The day it came I was like a little kid on Christmas morning, so my toddler and I began to tediously open the packaging like archeologists with a new found discovery. When we got it out, the amp and pedal board were fired up, the explorer plugged in (it was barely out of tune) tuned it and started playing. The sound was tremendous, the sustain was seemingly everlasting, the action was so perfect it was like swimming through a pool of melted butter without anything on. All that being said, I really am unsure about the pickup swap and the chrome is slowly growing on me for I am beginning to see that it compliments the Royal blueberryness.Long story short I want to thank firefly for making an at least 1200 dollar guitar (in my opinion) and selling it for an honest price for musicians/parents that may gift this brand of guitars to their children but cannot afford/doesn't want to pay all the extra for the name of an over exaggerated company. If they keep doing what they're doing this brand will live forever and please many. With how the industry is today, WE NEED MORE REAL MUSICIANS!Rock on from MN! Again, thank you.

Great value.
I'm not going to say that this is a solid replacement for top name brand guitars of it's style, but it is a good value and plays well. I had to do very little setup after receiving it before playing. Neck was perfect right out of the box, intonation dialed-in with little effort, fretwork and binding are solid, and amazingly I'm still using the strings it was shipped with.

Great guitar!
My son has played this every day since he was gifted it at Christmas. Almost 6 months and absolutely zero issues! He loves it. He takes it to his lessons and his teacher was impressed with the quality. Great guitar!

Good guitar, will be buying a V next, but not on n Amazon
Guitar looks great, no scratches and very nice & smooth finish on the neck & body. The guitar is heavy, not very comfortable playing in sitting position. The neck & frets are very smooth, guitar has a nice sound but I would not recommend to a big inner. It's simply a novelty, something different, not a learner or daily player. Personally, I don't enjoy playing this guitar as it's so heavy in my hands, especially towards where the neck connects to body of guitar. But it looks good hanging on the guitar tree. Regret my choice & purchase.

It's not just blue
The color is blue to purple burst.Looks used out of the box as the finish has the light scratches everywhere (almost swirl mark like)the strings that come on it are way to light and they needed to be swapped out and the guitar sit for a few days . I have changed the negative rivew to a positive after putting my preferred 10s on .It still has a small buzz on the 7th and 9th fret I'll fix later on when I get time .All in all the intonation is spot on so there's not much else to set up . You will need a noise gate of some kind .

You get a lot of bang for the buck!
I currently own a Gibson Les Paul Standard but I find myself picking up this Firefly more frequently than I pick up the Gibson. The fret ends and the binding on this guitar are flawless. Neck came a little bowed, but a half-turn of the trussrod quickly fixed the bow. These two guitars are not that far apart, until it comes to price. MSRP on the Gibby is $4,499.00, and $219.00 on the Firefly. I'm impressed.
