Pretty but...
I almost returned this, but I didn't. My problem was the paper on the inside that hides the lights was moved so the ends of it where it meets together was right in front of the text. So you could see that line where they meet right in front of the wording, if that makes sense. You cannot open it to adjust the paper inside the jar because the battery compartment is glued to the glass right where the opening is. I had to stick something really small and long to shift it around. It did work, but was super annoying and I ended up scratching it a bit. Also, the text on the jar was not straight. It was slightly off. It wasn't horrible, but still. This was a gift for my mom, and she still really loved it. The way the lights shine through the paper insert thing makes it look like stars. I just wish the paper was connected better, or there was an easier way to get into the jar to adjust it easier.
