Great game to play with grandkids!
A wonderful game to play with our grandkids! Using imagination to improvise stories on the fly and connect with the family. Highly recommended!

Great activity with a twist to my kids
I recently encountered this game via Amazon and decided to order. It was great surprise to my kids which enjoyed it with their friends. It is easy to learn and use it.

The last time I had an allergic reaction...
There are plenty of pictures of this so I'm not going to add any more. That said, The box that this comes in is nice and solid, which is awesome. No bueno when you get a card game with a squishy box. The game is pretty simple with only a sand timer, some game pieces, a score sheet and the cards. Everything fits fine in there and although you didn't get anything to hold the cards together, they don't really slide around that much when you put them back in. This box was pretty well-thought out.The cards are laminated and like "normal" playing cards (and about the same size). The tokens are on the harder compressed cardboard. They'll hold up fine (just don't get them wet!). One thing that really impressed me was that the cards have beautiful and vibrant pictures on them. These are really pretty cards. Everything looks very professional. This card game also comes with a nice one-sheet set of instructions for the game, on glossy paper, beautiful and professional printing on both sides. Very well done. The ages are recommended for about 6+, and my 6 and 8yo had no trouble playing it (although we did not start out with more than 7 or 8 cards at a time). They had a lot of fun with this and really enjoyed being silly. Most of the games we get involve improving a skill of some sort as we homeschool. Addition, subtraction, historical knowledge... that sort of thing. This is something you can use to have fun AND work on your memory. Memory is a criminally underrepresented aspect of learning for kids, and improving it is key to a great education.I highly recommend this. It's high-quality. It's funny and silly. It makes kids think and exercise their memory. It's fantastic bonding. You work on memory, imagination, vocabulary, AND storytelling while playing this. All great points. But when you can do all of that AND also fool them into learning while they're having fun? Priceless. Definitely recommend!

Great family Game.
As my husband described, “This is a game that builds your mind palace.” It is a good game to start off the night when your mind is fresh. It is a great family game.Gameplay time depends on the number of people playing. It says 40 minutes, but it ran a little faster with three of us playing. The storyteller has about a minute to make a story using only the cards drawn from the deck. The storyteller then asks the person to their left to remember the cards used in the story, going around until all the cards used in the story remembered are gone. The listeners get points by remembering the cards used. When guessed correctly the listener gets to keep the card and gets a point. When reading, I found that the scoring for the storyteller was complicated. After a few games it made more sense. Please note you can get a negative score in the first round. We decided to play through and not exclude or fine the people on the first round.I suggest using the timer on the listener who is guessing the cards. The first person guessing can end up with all the cards or dragging it out until they do. This leaves everyone else waiting bored and frustrated waiting for their turn. If you make it a free for all, where anyone yells out the cards, it can be overwhelming. The cards feel like they are good quality and the artwork is really nice. Some cards are incredibly funny and they are all very detailed. Everything is good quality and centered. The cards are easy to read and the printing is clean and crisp. They even have fill-in-the-blank cards that personalize the game. They really put a lot of thought into these cards and I am impressed.

Depends a lot on the personalities playing the game.
This game is fun -- with the right participants. Or it could be a complete dud with other participants. The key is: how much imagination do you have? and how well do you recall from short-term memory, plus how good are you at making up stories that other people WANT to listen to?The more people with good imaginations, the better this game is to play, and the more hilarious laughter it will generate. Definitely a four-or-more people game.As I said, this game is fun -- with the right participants. Or it could be a complete dud with other participants.

Can be fun
Like many games, this can be fun depending on who you play with. I played with a bunch of kids and it went off the rails pretty quickly. We changed the rules and had more fun. I with the cards were more durable and maybe have a couple different options for play.
