Very acceptable quality.
As soon as I took the first photo it reminded me of my first point and shoot digital camera, a Casio ExZ33 from 2010 which I still own and have made a side by side comparison that you can see in my pictures. The comparison was made under artificial light, probably I'll make a daylight photo comparison too.The Vitaluxe camera has a very acceptable quality, takes bright photos (a little too bright as you can see in my pictures) and the colors are good and accurate, and better than the Casio, meaning that it's Auto White Balance algorithm is working well. If you are not a pixel peeper everything will be fine but if you are, then you'll notice that the sensor is OK but the weak point in the camera is its plastic(?) lens and its plastic cover. That degrades the image quality but it's acceptable nonetheless... but Casio photos are cleaner. Judge by yourself looking at the photos (the photo with the date stamped is Vitaluxe)One of the customer reviews stated that the algorithm had a problems with Auto ISO not getting back to Auto after returning from Sports mode or any other. My camera doesn't have this problem. The other problem mentioned is with the half-press and locking the focus, mine correctly locks the focused object and doesn't move from there when recomposing and taking the photo. So, that leds me to think that I've been lucky to get a camera with the firmware updated... OR that the customer got a faulty camera(?)Other thing I want to mention is that the lens is equivalent to a 27mm in 35mm or 18mm in APS-C.For the price I paid (19.90), I totally believe it's worth it and it's as a good gift for the little kids in the family.

you get what you pay for
i’d say it’s definitely a get what you pay for type of thing. over all it’s a good camera and it does work, but it feels cheap. but since the price is pretty low i wouldn’t expect much more from it. the camera is super small and easy to take with you everywhere, and the camera is pretty nice, even comes with a strap. i would say if your just exploring the option of a retro style camera i would say this is the one to start with.

SD card reader malfunction
We bought 2 of these cameras for the kids for Christmas. On day 2 one of the cameras froze up, we removed the SD card and plugged the camera into the charger and pushed the power button, it restarted, when we put the SD card back in the camera said no SD card. We tried it in the other camera, that was recognizing it's own card at the time and it recognized the both of them, so I had no choice but to reformat the SD card and she lost all of her pictures. After transferring my sons pictures and reformatting both SD cards for the cameras they both worked for 2 days. Then my sons camera SD card did the same thing. So we are sending them back to Amazon and going to try different cameras.

Even old folk can use this camera.
I bought this and had it shipped to my father, who is 88 years old. He was doing pictures for the e selling site. He couldn’t get the pictures off his phone into the computer. This was the easiest and best solution for him. It’s a point and shoot with a memory. He takes the memory card to the computer and now he has shared all the pictures of his flowers to us kids. If an 88 year (with failing memory) can operate this so can you. Does it take prize worthy photos, probably not but for Dad it was well worth it.
