Protects whole face, runs on the bigger side
I purchased this helmet as a follow up from Abus Youn-I 2. We do a lot of mountain biking, my toddler loves his balance bike on a pump track/bike park but also he rides on Shotgun seat on our bikes when we go to trail centres. After he had an accident on a pump track where the head only helmet did not protect his face and he ended up scraping hit, I thought it’s time to upgrade to full face. What a brilliant decision. It has saved many bumps and facial scrapes. The helmet itself is great, light. I really like that you can easily take off the chin guard when he is just ok the grass or safe area. It is easy to put on.The only disappointing thing was that although the sizing was meant to be the same as on the non-full face helmet version it actually ended up being quite big. So initially he has to wear a hat under the helmet for it to be tight enough (not ideal, but the only way).
