The only hammer I prefer to use
I learned the trade using this hammer. This is perhaps the fourth one I bought over the past 49 years, only because I would loose the last one. This is the latest one I bought, and I have been using it for 6 years now, since I lost the last one in the move interstate (but found the one I though I lost in a place unexpectedly 4 years after the move. I was ecstatic!) This particular hammer has done me very well although it is showing signs of use, MUCH UNLIKE it predecessors. The rubber grip is thinner on the end (elsewhere too) than the earlier versions, which I use the end as a rubber mallet in many occasions. Earlier versions never had the end peel off, this one has, exposing the fiberglass handle at the end. Not much good for a rubber mallet anymore. The remainder of the grip is loosing dimension too, The letters "Plumb" are written in relief as part of the fiberglass handle and the rubber is molded around it so the letters are visible through the rubber. These are noticeably raised now, but not a big deal, just shows the wear. My fist hammer was "octagon head" I loved the traditional look it had. The later generations had less and less of this classic feature, and this one has no remnants left at all. Sad, it may or may not matter, but I took it as a sign of quality. Aside from all that, the fiberglass handle is tough, strong and will pull out MANY stubborn nails, large nails without breaking.

I absolutely love this hammer. In fact this is the 2nd one I purchased!! Balanced perfectly and fits in your hand very well.

Perfect tool for the job!!
As a Carpenter dad has been using Plumb for years and years!!! He always uses the 22oz which always felt to heavy for me but the usual 16 or 18oz that you find at local hardware stores took too many swings to drive nails! It was awesome that Amazon has the 20 oz! That 2-4 oz makes all the difference in the world!! And Plumb equals quality!!

Plumb beats them all.
Outstanding product. A truly great tool: strong, perfectly weighted and balanced.

Perhaps better to use a 16 oz
I'm a professional carpenter, and this is my hammer of choice. A bit heavy for average users, however. Perhaps better to use a 16 oz. version. Holds up well to abuse. Fiberglass handle reduces vibrations. pommel on the bottom is very nice. Would like it if the claw were sharper, though.
