I needed to run some ethernet cable through hard to reach spots from upstairs to downstairs. This did the trick and has a little hole near the tip of the bit that you can tie string to before you pull out your bit. The string then can be used to pull the actual cable through the hole. I drilled through drywall and wood studs (carefully).

Worked beautifully for drilling through a brick will to run an additional ground wire for me ham radio.

looks great, but dulls quickly

I purchased this 3/8” x 24” drill bit to drill through concrete, but unfortunately, it snapped on the very first attempt. I wasn’t even applying much force—just steady pressure—and it gave out almost immediately. It might have been a lemon from the factory, but judging by the feel and the break, the metal seems pretty weak overall. I’ve used other long bits for similar work without issues, so this was definitely disappointing. Hopefully, I just got a bad one, but based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend it for serious concrete drilling.

Got this because I only wanted to cut a small section of wall for running Ethernet cables it worked great.

I wasn’t sure about this bit when ordering but once it arrived I was happy to see it was good quality!

I have purchased two of these thus far; one of them broke on a job and it was promptly replaced. When it works, it drills through anything in a timely fashion. Its my go-to, for wire runs through exterior walls.
