Fixed my rumbling 2009 civic couple (EX-L); great product!
I should have purchased this motor mount sooner. At around 55,000 miles, my 2009 Honda Civic EX-L Coupe started rumbling. That was last winter. I spent the spring and summer trying to diagnose the problem. I changed spark-plugs, pcv valve and hose, oil, transmission fluid, and air filter. I cleaned the mass-air-flow sensor, O2 sensor, butterfly valves, and ran sea-foam through the air intake. After all this, my car was still rumbling. It was particularly noticeable in the cold, in reverse, and when you just start the car. There was noticeable vibration in the cabin, and after months, the steering wheel started shaking at idle. There was no check-engine light, and I had put a lot of other maintenance into the car. Once I changed this, it made an instant impact. Some of the rubber on the old mount had worn away. After researching online, it looks pretty common for these mounts to wear out at 50,000 on the civic. The front hole on the bottom (the one that will be placed closest to the front bumper) was a tight fit. I had to screw the bolt through that hole first, before it would catch on the hole on the car's frame. Once that was in place, the back bolt and hole fit fine. You may find it easier to screw the bolt in and out a few times to loosen that hole up before you stick it in the hood. You'll notice when you take the OEM one out, that the bolts drop right through that hole. The whole job took about 2 hours. There is a great youtube how-to video. It requires a lot of metric sockets and extensions. Also, the day before this part arrived, I had soaked all the bolts in WD-40. After the bolts come out, you will probably want to clean the rust off of them.

Works way better than others make it seam!
Pretty surprised with the fitment. I bought this assuming I'd have to "make it fit" and it actually slid right in without any issues. Granted this isn't a perfect fit and isn't exactly like the oem one, but you know what? For this price, it's a steal. Very very happy with this motor mount. It looks to be of slightly lower quality but works as good as oem and it's out of sight so who cares.I'd like to consider myself "mechanically inclined" and I've done plenty of motor mounts before. So I've seen some bad quality products. This motor mount is a really nice replacement. Great fit. Those that say it didn't work or it looks weird or it not pretty or whatever, probably don't even know how to change a tire. So take my advice, it works great, fits great, inexpensive, not quite as pretty as the one you're replacing but like I said it's out of sight out of mind. I'd most definitely buy again.

It works fine, but does take some drilling for my 2007 Civic EX
Bought this for my 2007 Honda Civic EX Coupe. As others have commented, the upper bracket bolt holes were too tight and had to be drilled out. I also drilled out the holes on the base of the motor mount as well. I also had to take off the silver triangular upper mount in order to get things to install and align properly (it comes pre-mounted to the motor mount). After all that, it did install fine and is working fine ... so it does in fact fit. But it does make the job a bit more time consuming.

This is the fix to your Civic 1.8L side engine mount headache!!!!
Jeez where do I start. This is your solution folks. 99% of the time this is the part to fix the engine mount "rattle". Its either this mount of the wishbone mount located right above it. Luckily this mount was my culprit. I can't thank the previous reviewers enough for putting my mind at easy. What I have: 2008 Civic EX 1.8L coupe. I went through the same troubleshooting to isolate the rattle at idle to the side engine mount (passenger). Even verified at the dealer- service guy was kind enough to step outside to take a look. Service Dept quote my $350+ with parts and 1.5 hrs labor. There are only three mounts FYI. Front, Side (this item) and the rear which essentially holds up the tranny near the firewall. Honda wanted $170 on a discount website. I purchased this mount....I had to open up one of the mounting holes -very easy to do/re-thread . Guys....this is the fix. Perfect fitment. takes about 1hr start to finish with a prybar to shimmy against the rad support and push the engine once it is jacked up. less time with two people. OR buy this mount and give a local shop $75-100 max. No more rattles and I now have a smooth drivetrain AGAIN!. FYI my mount went at approx. 56k miles. I was shocked at how nice this aftermarket product was in terms of quality and packaging. Thanks MotorKing!

I wasn't so lucky...
Well, I took the chance and was disappointed. The product appeared to be built pretty solid, but after removing the old parts and trying to replace it with this part, to my horror the mounting holes were too small. The stock bolts would not fit. I could have just drilled out the holes to fit the bolts but I did not have the correct bit size. I contacted the seller for a full refund as I don't want to deal with another unit that may be defective. I decided to spend the money and just order factory parts. BIG difference in price (cheapest online price is $197). For those who plan on purchasing and taking the chance, good luck. I'm sure they're a good co and make good parts but their QC needs fine tuning. I'm awaiting a full refund for this unit and hope they're responsive.UPDATE - I was contacted and provided with a return label. I would be happy to give another of their mounts another chance considering how responsive they are but I don't have the time to drill it out, file it down, or whatever others did to get it to fit. Perhaps on my next set, I'll be a little more patient and reconsider buying it again - hopefully they work out some QC issues by then. With that said, thanks Motorking for your excellent service!

The product is great in the beginning
The product is great in the beginning. I have driving it for about two months and I am starting to hear the rattle again. My mechanic had to drill out the wholes so it would fit proper poly. but don't get me wrong it doesn't get the job done. I have been going to my mechanic for years and he changed me 270 out the door. Your better off buying the Honda part and have someone install it,
