I use it when I'm being chased by coyotes. Works great when cornered in the woods with nowhere to run. Simply reach into your pocket, pull out and blow! It so convenient. It chases them away allowing you to fight another day. Highly recommend.

I am glad that I didn't test this out IRL on a hike. We had a bear come into our back yard and tried it.It made a tiny sound and the second time it sounded like when you are at the bottom of a can of hairspray. "Pffffffffffff." is the sound it made with a little cloud of aerosol. Yelling at the bear did a better job than this joke of a air horn.

We live in VT and have a lot of bears! We have a couple of these for when we take hikes or just in case they decide to visit our property. We have a dog and just want to be safe so one loud horn noise scares them off. Works great!

I like the small compact quality of these airhorns. We have barren coyote in the neighborhood and they’re easy to leave by the front door or put in a stroller if we’re going for a walk.
