GLADFRESIT Stainless Steel Taper Gage, 1-15mm Taper Welding Gauge, Inch & Metric Wedge Feeler Gap Hole Measuring Tool

I have a variety of size measuring tools in my small workshop from simple steel rules to digital vernier callipers and micrometres but I've always struggled with accurately measuring small hole diameters, particularly in sheet metal. It would seem that this taper gauge has solved that.It's well made with cleanly engraved and well printed markings and is easy to use and read.Obviously for larger holes you'd need the depth to be deep enough to get the gauge in, but for my issues with sheet metal it's just the ticket.Accuracy wise, it would appear to spot on, at least when checked against anything I have here to measure it with so that's certainly accurate enough for my hobbyist machine shop needs

Small and handy tool for measuring through holes where a vernier/caliper isn't suitable.I stress the point about through holes, as due to the length of the taper on this, you'll probably run out of insertion depth before you hit the wider measurements.
