So, I'm a floor sitter. Do much fellowship and exercise and otherwise find myself in contemplation on the floor quite often. I also find myself needing to use nearby tables, and then the lack of back support really can show, often forcing me off the floor and to a more traditional seat. Fine enough, but here with these Tatami chairs, I simply don't have to.I don't know that these could be made very much better than they are. I mean, surely different cushion and fabric choices are available, but from a mechanical and comfort perspective, they are spot on fabulous.They are the height of stability. They angle flawlessly, a perfect 90 degrees. The are rock steady, and when I say they don't wiggle even a little, they don't. These are of premium make, and while the cushion and fabric could be "upgraded", what they have chosen here is simply wonderful.I feel I am in the lap of comfort and performance for my lifestyle in these, and am so thankful to have them. For the first time I consider I would do well in an Asian atmosphere, with floor seating as a norm. Wow, so wonderful. Great job and highly, highly recommend them.

1-19-24 I ordered these to provide a bit of cush and back support while meditating. I found they're also helpful to use on a backless piano bench that we pull out as additional seating when we have guests, also good seating when my grandkids are over playing games over a coffee table. These are solid and sturdy, I don't feel any feedback when using them on the floor, the medium density foam is comfortable, It doesn't compress down below the wood sides so you don't feel the wood pressing into your hips, nor does it compress all the way where your butt bones feel the plywood underneath. The seat back is slightly tilted back to give you that natural upright position and encouraging good posture. The upholstery appears to be a thick synthetic woven durable fabric. Any light stains can be scubbed/wiped off using mild detergent and water. Just a heads up, if you end up using these as we have on a backless piano bench, they aren't made for this so don't have bracketry or ways to attach it to the bench so you'll need to hold the front edges of the seat when sitting down or standing up. I also added some adhesive backed non-slip foam to the bottom of the wood sides to help prevent them from sliding. Thus far after being used four times I have no complaints. I'll report back if something changes. Hopefully my written and photo reviews are helpful, Thank you!

Nice looking, but not recommended.Chair back support is poorly designed and arrived already split.Returned, will look for a different brand.

i am a big fan of floor seating, but most of the floor seating i have used in the past are floor pillows and similar products without back support. i was really looking forward to trying this product, which includes the back support. i think overall, it's a pretty good option.this chair was really easy to set up as it was fully assembled right out of the box. it's easy to fold anytime you want to use it or put it away. because it's foldable, it's really easy to store which is convenient for small spaces and just to help reduce clutter.the back support is very effective. i'm not sure how they did it, but i never felt like my weight (160 lbs) was too much for this chair to support. it was very sturdy and comfortable to use; it didn't wobble at all. in this way, it's a huge game changer for me and my floor seating.there are a few minor cons. first, the colors were slightly off from what was pictured. i ordered the beige color but it came looking almost gray-ish. it's a little disappointing to me as it doesn't match my decor as well as i had hoped, but since i don't plan to keep this chair out when i'm not using it, it's not that big of a deal for me. i do wish the photos had been more true to color, though. second, the chair becomes less comfortable if you have sat in it for a long time. i got a little uncomfortable after about 2 hours of continuous use; the cushion is not thick or padded enough to support long use periods.i definitely plan to use this regularly and i would recommend it to anyone who is looking to use it for less than 2 hours at a time, or who has other seating to rotate with this option if they do get uncomfortable (like i do).

My husband has tried out many meditation seating options over the years and after wooden stools and padded cushions, Goldilocks himself has decided this is the best seating solution for middle aged backs. The chair is comfortable, lightweight, and portable. The ease of use and storage is wonderful. The pumpkin color is like a burnt sienna crayon color which of course gives an earthy natural vibe. Best of all no assembly required, out of the box it's really to go. High quality, long lasting, and recommended.
