KEY INFORMATION: The hole size for the half moon or crescent nut needs to be 1” in diameter. I couldn’t find that anywhere so here it is!The bed we have had about 7/8” diameter holes. Too small for these to fit.So if you’re in the same boat, here’s what I did: I used a 1” forstner bit and drilled a hole through a scrap piece of wood. Then I placed that scrap piece over the bed rail and used that as my guide to get the 1” hole lined up correctly. Worked like a charm!A couple tips: Hold that scrap piece on TIGHT or use clamps if you need. Also, be careful not to drill the new hole too deep.

I was able to put my bunk beds together thanks to these bolts. A little expensive, but since I couldn't find these bolts anywhere else, they're definitely worth the money.

When we moved, some of the pieces to our son's bunk beds were lost and was so excited to have found these on Amazon. They worked great!

Worked. They allowed me to put together a bed I found on the side of the road. The price was high, but the rest of the bed was cheap enough...

I needed the bolts to be about 1 inch longer and the half-moon nuts were not the same as in the picture. I had to grind the longer edges on the lunar nuts to fit like the original ones on my bunk bed( seen in pic). But I made them work.

Not quite what I was expecting.A little smaller than I wanted.Well constructed and worked anyway.

Difficult to lineup the bolt to the half moon.
