CharnwoodW650 10” Professional Cast Iron Table Saw

I liked a very good product, it works quietly and everything seems to be very fast.

This takes some time to set up- everything needs adjusting; allocate a full day for this. The dust extraction is terrible- the shroud is a poor fit, and most of the dust is dumped on the ground underneath it. It may have a 100mm dust connection, but internally it is more like 60mm with a sharp turn- blocks often. The hose to the blade guard is a joke- so small there is almost no suction, and the connection is right at the rear, whereas the dust is thrown forward.The cut is fine, but the fence is very stiff and difficult to move. The sliding table is cast iron, which makes it heavy, and is quite small. I would rather have an aluminium one that was larger. Changing the riving knife is tedious, awkward to get to and fiddly to set. The insert is poorly formed, and not good enough for a cast iron table. Blade change is not bad, and the adjustments are easy to make. The on/off buttons are so sensitive that letting the cover drop turns the machine off! Altogether, I do not think it represents good value- I also have a site saw at half the price that gives better results.

Excellent product, certainly does the job.
