Be careful charging it
This toothbrush has a serious drawback. If the charger gets wet, as mine did, it shorts. This causes it to fail and potentially start a fire. I tried to get a refund, but the retailer didn't grant one.It cleans very well, but that serious flaw means I wouldn't buy it again. I mean, toothbrushes get wet right?

Badly designed product and poor customer services.
I bought this product from the company's website. It’s the worst electric toothbrush I have ever had. It is extremely difficult to remove the toothbrush head from the handle (one needs to pull it away with lots of force). I complained about this issue to their customer services and the service was appalling. They told me to only remove the toothbrush from the handle once a week! After a few emails back and forth I realised that I would not be able to return it, as they kept on finding something wrong with the way I use the product, rather than accept that it is the product that is badly designed. The sensor pressure stopped working after a few days. Changing the settings is complicated too. It brushes the teeth well, but not better than other electric toothbrushes. After this I bought a Philips Sonicare, and I am delighted with it.

Great cleaning, great battery life, poor user experience
First the good points of the Spotlight Sonic Pro :Teeth cleaning is great.I like the traditional shaped head. It's comfortable to use.Battery life is amazing. (I've used it for a month without charging and it still going)Choice of 4 programmes, only one of which I use.Comes with 3 cleaning heads. The bad points:The large on off button is too easy to press accidentally, although I got used to this and adjusted my grip so as not to press it after the first week or so. (Given this was the #1 complaint for their older model I am baffled why they designed this newer model the same way). The pressure sensor is a joke. You have to press ridiculously hard to make it light up red. It might as well not be there. The timer is a too short in my opinion, so it switches off mid-way through brushing. You can't disable or change the timer.Traditionally, long-holding the power button turns an electric toothbrush off. On the Spotlight Sonic Pro it pauses the brushing programme, but the tooth brush remains lit up like a Christmas tree. That would be OK if it then turned itself off after a minute or two, but it doesn't.To turn off the tooth brush you have to press the power button repeatedly to cycle through the modes until you get to "off".When you turn it back on it doesn't remember your preferred mode, so you have to cycle through more modes to get to "clean". (Why is "clean" not the default mode?!!!). BUT… if the toothbrush turned off automatically at the end of the timer, then it does remember which mode you were on. When you next turn it on you’ll skip past the remembered mode because you're so used to having to pressing the power button lots of times. It would be nice to have some sort of battery indicator. Apparently, it flashes the lights when the battery is low, but I've not go there yet. I want to see that it has 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% etc. These annoyances are all first world problems, but it feels like the designers didn't put much thought into the user experience. It also feels like the product owners didn't listen to feedback from the older model. In summary it's a great tooth brush from a physical point of view, but is let down by poor user experience design choices.
