Fantastic and affordable batteries
I started off just getting one 12v 50ah battery to power some lights in my shed a year ago and it preformed really well for what I had running off of it (400w AC inverter and a TP-Link Deco). As I learned more about what I can do with 12v like powering low voltage lights and the Deco without the inverter, I added more and more to my shed such as two 12v diesel heaters, eight 12v led lights to light under my lean-to where my tractor and other equipment are behind the shed as well as three 55W 110v shop lights to run from the inverter. While the single 50ah battery held up admirably, I realized I was asking too much of it. I just got another 50ah to run in parallel and with the two of them together my needs are definitely met and then some.If you're looking for reliable and affordable batteries these are definitely it. I've used the one extensively over the past year and have absolutely no issues, even charging and using in subfreezing temps, which I know is rolling the dice, but it didn't skip a beat. I'm planning on building more outbuildings on my property in the coming years and building larger solar setups along with them, CHINS will definitely be the brand I go with.

Good value.
Arrived fully charged. Holds a charge just as it should. Never gets warm when charging and discharging. Very good value when compared to other LiFePO batteries this size.

Poor quality BMS, has RFI issues
The battery is lightweight and holds a charge, it works fine until it doesn't.The problem is the poor quality Battery Management System (BMS), if CHIN had maybe shielded the BMS properly the battery might actually work properly.I use the 100 amp/hr battery to power a Yaesu FT-857D HF transceiver. Problem occurs when I use an antenna for the 10 meter band. The radio powers up but as soon as I transmit, the radio turns off and the battery's voltage drops to 0.7 volts. If I disconnect the radio's power cord and re-connect it, voltage goes back up to 13.4 volts, radio turns on until I transmit and it shuts off again. RF is getting into the BMS due to lack of shielding. I put a ferrite bead on the coax to the radio, I grounded the neg post of the battery, that worked for about a week and now the problem is back. I have used other brand LiFeP04 batteries on 10 meters without issues.Customer service is awful, they have no technical expertise, basically a non trained salesperson trying to read a brochure. They give an answer that has nothing to do with the situation and call it good. Well, it is not good!It is too late for me to return this battery but lesson learned, poor quality product!

First time lithium uses
Worked ok but need to reset auto generator start voltage as the batteries hold higher voltage to the end of charge. Good price almost equal to amgs

Ups the game for newer campers and boondocking!
Our newer camper - 12V fridge - didn’t have a fridge after 24-30 hrs. It’d kill our 100 Ahr battery (read 50? Amps usable) every time. This Li battery has 280 (usable) Ahr. Kinda like 5 “old” batteries without damaging it like us and our neighbors did with old FLA batteries as it can be drained empty.A trial in the driveway with the 280 Li battery and 200 W Renogy suitcase panel, near-routine fridge use, went 7 days before I pulled the battery and checked charge. Almost 75% SOC! The panels did about 45% of the daily charge going to the camper - granted - but the capacity of the battery - even with no external charging - is such that 3 - 5 days of campsites with no electric (and no generator, solar, etc) works for us.It’s big but is light enough (60 lbs?) with good handles for movement. It’s a shade lighter than our camper’s stock FLA battery.I anguished over mounting it on the camper, considered which battery we’d use in freezing conditions, install an A/B switch, where to get a battery box, etc., and decided on a couple short jumper cables ($10 Amazon) and just transporting it in the truck if we foresee non-electric camping.Thrilled so far!
