Q: How does it fit do you need a plumber?

Hi Samantha, I bought a brass socket round 1/2 inch at the local builders and plumbing merchant. I fitted it myself and used some "plumbers tape" to make it water tight. It does leak a little but I just put a bowl underneath.Let your water company know and give them a reading when you start to use it. it will save you a lot of money especially if you water your garden in the summer. much more economical and cheaper than buying water butts.I will have recouped the cost of the meter when I get my next bill in October, and I only purchased it last July!!!!

Q: How high can the meter count? Probably a silly question as the meter has 5 digits, So assuming it is 99,999?

The meter has 8 digits, 5 are cubic meters, and 3 decimal places are litres. So it can count to 99999.999.

Q: Please help what fitting is needed to fit to outside tap

You will need 1/2 inch female iron to 15mm copper fitting x2.
