Are these any good for keeping a door open?

As the recesses vary slightly knocked them in until they were tight and then removed the excess with a sharp wood chisel.Alternatively push them in by hand and mark eat panel level remove and saw off between 5 and 10mm above the marked line then gently hammer home.
