The Pirate King: The Strange Adventures of Henry Avery and the Birth of the Golden Age of Piracy

Have not read yet, but my Dad loved it.

I enjoyed reading this book.

I really enjoyed this book. Wonderful tales and interesting, as it illustrates, "fake news" is nothing new. Take everything you can and give nothing back.

I have read several books regarding the rise and fall if piracy, this is a thoughtful and thorough telling of ‘dread pirate Avery’. Hard to put this one down once I started!

It goes on and on , describing so many different people , dates and places that you lose track of it. Its a bit shapeless, probably because the story gets lost in the details... I wanted entertainment as well as a history lesson, but only got the history lesson. Ill give it to some unfortunate soul as a Christmas present, I think!
