Stock photos made this appear really warm toned but I saw a lot of influencers sharing the rug on IG and it gave off a much cooler tone that I found to be more accurate in person. It definitely changes with the light but could work with both warm and cool tones IMO.No smell upon unrolling and while it still has a few lumps that I'm hoping will relax, it looks great right off the bat. I'm especially pleased that there are no loops as we have a cat and I feel less precious about this style. I have a thin rug pad underneath so it doesn't shift.For the price, I'm very impressed by the quality at this point (just got it so I will be back to update) and plan to buy another for my bedroom. I always expect shedding with wool but I sat on it in black sweat pants and found very few fibers stuck to me. I had a much more expensive Surya wool rug prior to this and it shed like crazy for months so I'd say this is pretty sweet.Sharing video and pics so you can get a better idea of the colors in the natural/fog that I purchased. They were taken in natural daylight next to my Sixpenny sofa in cracked pepper linen. I love the tones of this rug with my couch!This is exactly what I was looking for all over but couldn't find. It's like they pulled this out of my dreams!Update: this rug is holding up so well! It does shed still but I expect this with wool and don't mind the bit of extra vacuuming it requires. I've laid on it in a black sweat suit and still get very little fiber transfer. While my cat has plenty of scratching posts around the house, he would catch his claws on my old viscose rug and that usually drew his attention to mess with the rug a bit. No issues with this one as I hoped since it doesn't have loops. My son runs around and on it a lot too so I'd definitely recommend for high traffic areas. Love the added warmth it's providing in these Winter months.

The perfect rug. We did not have any issues with shedding. We love it, so soft and the colors are perfect.

Edit: beautiful rug. Looks high quality. Sheds like crazy. I have little clumpy pieces all over constantly. Plus little tiny fibers like dust all over clothes and the floor next to the rug. It clogs my vacuum up every time and I have to pull large clumps out to clean it. I just vacuumed and it’s like I was shaving the rug. Large tufts of the fibers left all over. My vacuum wouldn’t even pick them up because I didn’t realize the roller was clogged. It’s just an absolute mess. The sun shining in shows all the little particles it leaves everywhere and black clothes are instantly covered. I have vacuumed this thing so many times and still it fills the vacuum up each time.I was heavily influenced to buy this rug. I have a super neutral room and thought the natural/ fog would be perfect. I know I have sad gray floors that don’t help with warmth but this definitely pulls more yellow. I think I will get used to it but I’m disappointed in the color.Next to my creams/ whites in the room it’s obvious the coloring is yellower.Also, the rug had a few crunchy stains that turned yellow when I went to clean them. There’s also a piece of metal in one part of the rug. Luckily it’s covered by the ottoman but it’s sharp and catches the foot. I can’t see it nor remove it. It’s woven in under the carpet top.I think the rug is plush and lovely but for $500 I wasn’t impressed with the quality control. I wouldn’t usually spend that much on an area rug so when I do, it needs to be perfect.It really is a lovely rug and looks better quality than my last rug. I do like it and am glad I bought it , just need others to be aware.

I vacuumed this rug almost everyday for about 8 months till it stopped shedding. Love the design, color and thickness but the wool was in and on everything in our family room for months.Giving 4 stars because of that. It’s also not the most comfortable rug, but that was expected with wool. Stains have mostly come out which is great since we have a 18mo old son and dog.

I like to vacuum my rug with beater on (have a shedding dog), but a lot of - well actually most - say not to. I’ve vacuumed this one about 10 times so far with no problems. No fibers coming up, no extra fuzz. The colors are good. It was a little more cream than I wanted, but it looks nice. It was a little stretched along one edge where it was rolled up, but not too bad.

The rug is beautiful and adds a nice touch to my living room, but the shedding is nonstop. After five months, I still have to vacuum daily because it releases so much wool. It makes the floor look dirty, and I constantly find wool pieces my baby tries to eat. Disappointing quality for the price.
