Spanish for the Physical Therapist: Bridging the Communication Barrier Paperback – October 30, 2013

I love the setup of the book and the contents. I work in Miami and I come across a lot of patients that I had difficulty communicating with, which I felt wasn't fair to them or their quality of care. I showed my Spanish-speaking friend this book and she was very impressed with the translation. So I know I won't look silly when I say these things. I can't wait to look through it and start learning everything so I can better connect with my patients!

My bf said he wanted to learn spanish for his career and this book has the perfect phrases and words for PT career! He is happy with it and easy to follow

I'm a PT in Phoenix, AZ which has a decently high percentage of Spanish-speaking patients. This book has been an invaluable resource in helping me conduct effective evaluations and treatments when a translator is not available. Highly recommend.

It has the basics like numbers, and simple phrases however it makes a great reference for diagnosis translations as well as instructing patients.

I started working in a clinic with 60% Spanish speaking clients. This book was some what helpful, but wasn’t what I was looking for. If you don’t know any Spanish, it seemed too advanced. If you knew some Spanish, it was too easy. As a physical therapist, it didn’t suit me in outpatient very well. I got more from working side by side with Spanish-English speakers, google translate, and 501 Spanish verb book. There are a few good things in the book but overall I think using a phone app is more helpful.
