I've refurbished several jewelry boxes and armoires and this velvety liner is great for replacing the old stuff. The adhesion is perfect. If you have to reposition right after you put it down, you can. On the other hand, it doesn't move or lift once you're happy with the position and press it down. It feels great, the color is deep and consistent. It's easy to cut and easy to peel off of the backing. I'll buy this again.

The velvet was nice and easy to work with, but there were several cuts gauges and scratches in the velvet and backing. Making some of it unusabl.

I wanted to line my china cabinet drawers with velvet and after considering several different products, I selected this one based on the reviews. I don't know if I got a bum roll or what but it's awful. There is manufacturing pattern all throughout the flocking, it's wrinkled, creased and I've lost six inches of my total length from it being attahed to the roll with packing tape. It looks NOTHING like the picture. I went ahead and cut it out to see how it would do, and the only positive thing I can say about it is that its adhesive is appropriate for the application. Enough forgiveness to reposition but adhensive enough so it sticks once placed. Luckily, the drawers are full and you can't see how awful the fabric looks. Very dissapointed with it though.

I did not use this as shelf liner.I used it for my daughters Halloween costume - I drew an decorated on them cut them out and attached to her pants. Worked for our purposes and still more in the roll for other uses.I’m assuming it would work splendidly for its original purpose as well.
