I am using this as pictured for a laptop and 2nd monitor. It would hold a lot heaver items fine. It is somewhat heavy (has to be to support the equipment), but lighter than my last one.The instructions suggested a lot more assembly than necessary - I just had to screw the keyboard tray to the stand, which was easy. The piston, clips and foam bumpers were already on mine, but the instructions had them being part of the assembly (maybe I got a return? maybe they come like this now?)The only real issue is that having now used this a while . . . it takes some real effort to get it to go down. Its not smooth per se like when you raise it, and to get it all the way down and to clip, is a bit of effort.The release is just on one side, and the top is held up by a piston - not like the other one I had that had springs, and the release mechanism was on both sides.Also note that except in the full compressed profile, where there is a clip to hold it in place, it can be infinitely adjusted - both a positive and negative. My other one had "click stops", which were there to not allow it to sag down. This one has no click stops, so if that psiton wears out, it might not stay up.I like this alot though and really, its just a different design . . .

I got this for work as I'm pregnant and sitting for long periods of time was KILLING my back and hips.After about a week-ish of using this now I will say its amazing for helping my back out during the day - I switch between sitting and standing as needed and it hasn't shown any issues with switching back and forth so much.I will say its a tad shaky - when I get to typing fast the monitors do shimmy a little but it isn't anywhere close to falling down or anything. I lean on it too while it is in the up position and it never slips or falls.I wish the keyboard section moved, it is stuck in place so make sure you read that part when you go to buy. It wasn't/isn't a deal breaker for me, and honestly the two tiers works great to give me more space for things and files during the day.It stays in its singular position when you move it up and down. No moving from side to side which is nice. Its super easy to press the handle on the side and pull up or push it back down. It doesn't just fall when I push either, there is just enough resistance that it keeps it a smooth motion so thats very nice.My biggest complaint is that I ordered the black version and then they sent me some cream/white color (personally i HATE the color, but I needed the item so I didn't bother with sending back) I'm not sure if that was just a mistake or if they didn't pay attention to what I ordered at all but either way, maybe keep that in mind?

Am standing at my computer right now as I type. Measure the surface you plan to put this on well to ensure you have enough room. This desk is quite large. But it workes and is easy to raise and lower. The instructions for assembly were a little vague, but we figured it out. When lowered the keyboard platform sits up a inch or so, I have to raise my office chair to be comfortable typing. Still, I would recommend if you have the space and an adjustable chair.

This desk works so well! It is sturdy (when up against a wall - wiggles a bit while you type otherwise), sleek and functional. set up was easy and straight forward (didn’t come with instructions but you just have to screw in the bottom part and place the rubber stops on the bottom). Having the lowered keyboard is great for my posture. really have no complaints! made from quality materials. feels sturdy and like it will last. worth every dollar.

Pro: Super easy setup -Took me 5 min to set up station with easy setup guide pamphlet :) Large keyboard + top surface area is exactly what I was looking for!!!Cons: Upon pulling the lever, the converter rises up SUPER quick and it takes some push and effort to adjust it back down when you want to be in sitting position at your work station.Overall, I’m content with this purchase as I’ve also considered getting the Vari standing converter to compare. BUT this one is the winner for the price you pay!! Also, I got this desk within a business day-Crazy fast shipping so thank you!!

I had an issue with the keyboard tray. I reached out to the company in within minutes they responded. By the end of the day they were shipping out a replacement. The desk conventor is also very easy to put together and sturdy. It does it’s job. I would definitely recommend and would buy more from this company.
