Great walking aid if you need a cane and seat
I purchased this to help with my walking long distances on vacation with the seat option as my wife likes to stop and shop where there is no where to sit. It opens and closes easily.

effective as an occasional seat
The good—I love having the option of sitting when I am bird watching or waiting in a long line. It’s easy to open into a seat, and is easy to close when I remember to do it the right way. It’s not designed to be used on slanted ground, so isn’t useful in certain circumstances. I am small and the seat is adequate, but the seat could be too small for larger people. What I don’t like about the cane/seat is the handle and the low height. My hand does not fit comfortably on the grip, and it is designed for your forearm to be level with the ground. That might work for some people but my usual walking stick has a higher grip, and I find that provides me better assistance. I just use this for special occasions and would not use it as a regular cane or walking stick replacement.

A Must Have If You Are Bringing An Elderly To Events!!!
My dad, with health condition, get tired easily when doing a bit of walking, but he likes going to festivals and events with the family. One thing of concern is always about finding a place for him to sit down and rest, but that is not always available at some events and sitting down at the curb isn't ideal for him, especially he has a hard time getting up. After seeing several people carrying different versions of a walker with fold down seat, I started googling around for a decent one for my dad. I came across the Ta-Da Chair. I read through many reviews before deciding on whether it is the one for my dad. Needless to say, my decision was right. This Ta-Da Chair is light-weight enough for my dad to use as his walker in events, and the seat is easy to fold down for him to take a sit for a quick rest. The built is pretty solid. I sat on the seat a couple times at events, and it felt solid that I can trust to put my weight on it. Although I find the seat easy to fold back up, it wasn't so easy for my dad, so he won't be able to use it on his own, which wouldn't be a big deal, since we are always with him at events. However, it might be something to consider when buying for someone to use on their own. I am sure it is not hard for some elderly to figure out, but my dad's hands aren't like they used to be. Definitely a good buy. Though a bit pricy, but willing to pay for quality.

Great cane plus handy seat easy to convert lightweight
I wasn’t sure about spending this much, but after reading the reviews, this was what I needed. It’s sturdy, lightweight, super easy to go from cane to seat & back again. After our 5 days of Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure during our Thanksgiving week trip to Orlando, it was worth every penny…lines weren’t so bad when I could sit. At 75 I still love roller coasters & flight simulators…(although I admit to needing pre dose of Dramamine each day.) Universal does it all so spectacularly. The ride staff are wonderful…would take my cane when I got on the ride & give it back on exit. I did tape an AirTag under the seat since I didn’t want to take a chance of losing it (at $170 with tax). The cane could have used a nice flat spot to tape the AirTag, but it stayed just fine.

It works for me!
It works for me! This combination cane and seat was the right choice for a large political rally, and I expect to use it while waiting for city buses. The handle is appropriate for walking or for sitting and looking contemplative. The seat is easy to deploy and fairly easy to retract. Some words of caution: 1. We’re to sit on the tiny seat with the handle in front. Testicles seem none the worse for the wear. 2. When used as a cane, it’s well balanced for walking but asymmetrical visually, with colored plastic on the right and folding aluminum rods on the left. 3. It won't replace my everyday cane. It’s lightweight for a chair but heavy for a cane. Hold it out horizontally and invite backache. 4. Not safe for small children because of the possibility of pinching fingers in the mechanism when folding or unfolding it.
