Charger stopped working after an hour.
I ordered a replacement for my currently dying laptop charger (made sure it was the same wattage and everything) and after using it for an hour, it no longer worked. Getting a refund but I'm still losing 8 bucks.

It will charge the battery while running an HP Omen 17-ck0065
Like many, I'm annoyed by the huge 330W power supply that comes with HP Omen laptops with high end graphics chips. I've tried several lower wattage supplies, and none would even charge the battery while the system was running. This 280W power adaptor does charge the battery while I'm using the system. The battery increases 3% every 5 minutes when the battery is nearly full while I'm using the computer in performance mode. It may charge faster when the battery has a lower charge - lithium chargers slow their charging rate the closer the batteries get to full in order to extend overall battery life. The computer still reports that the power supply isn't sufficient, might not charge the battery, and that the system will run in reduced performance mode, but it's still far better than the other supplies I've tried. The performance hit is about the same as when running the laptop on battery only. Passmark is about 8,400 for this laptop with the HP 330W power supply, and it's about 5,600 with this power supply. This may seem excessive, however it's important to note that the only difference is the graphical tests. The CPU, memory, and disk benchmarks are exactly the same on this adaptor as the official HP adaptor. So for all but gaming applications, this adaptor is giving me the same exact performance as the original HP 330W adaptor - and it takes up less than half the space of the original, as well as significantly less weight. The gaming on this power supply is still very good - in passmark it's close to a GTX 1050 - perfectly suitable for casual gaming. You'll want the big supply if you're playing fast twitch shooter games, but for everything else this power supply works fine.
