Well made….I’m very happy to use this to run rebar and posts into a very rocky ground using my rotary hammer

In all honesty, most of these big ol hammer drills are not battery powered, so it's not practical to be out in the field dragging around all this heavy extra equipment when a two lbs sled will work better, faster and it's going to end up making you less tired because you don't half to bring all that extra stuff with you. Can you see yourself using your big all-hammer drill to put in stakes you could more than likely shove hallway in the ground already? I thought this was going to be something a little different, it's still made very well maybe ill file some teeth into it and use it for some kind of destruction purposes. It's hardened steel that's for sure.

Good things come in small packages!This SDS-Plus ground rod driver works great. I've used it with both a cordless SDS hammer drill and a larger corded demolition hammer drill. In both cases, it made driving grounding rods and rebar in to the ground quick and easy.The socket is deep enough that it holds 5/8" and 3/4" diameter rods well. I've found it to be very useful, it makes driving grounding rods and rebar so much easier than using a sledge hammer, and safer as well.This is one of those tools that you get and wonder how you got along without it. I am very pleased with this simple, sturdy tool. It is well made and nicely finished, the SDS spline is precision machined and fit my SDS hammer drills perfectly. The listing says this has a "lifetime warranty", which is nice to know, although I don't expect I will need it, as this seems well up to the task. A definite 5 stars from me.

Unfortunately, our home is built on fill, and contains an inordinate amount of gravel, making pushing anything into the ground almost impossible. In the past, I've just toughed it out using a small sledgehammer - and that didn't always work so well. But using this attachment with my hammer drill really makes the job so much easier (nosier, but easier). I appreciate the simple yet effective design. There's no issue with slipping off the rebar and no smashed fingers.
