Have used this before it is awesome

usually add it to my ginger tea. I never tried drinking it by itself and so far I think it is working . it seems like it is settling my stomach.

The brand packaging claims to be “ CLEAN AND PURE BULK SUPPLEMENTS”Its NOT Beware… this products is Not 100% just pure clean slippery elm. It also contains “Dextrin” but it doesn't label the source of the dextrin.My guess is it’s corn since that is one thing it doesn’t say its Free from. I didn't verify but dont need to as I dont want any form of Dextrin in my body personallyLook up what dextrin does to the body. I never look at the All ingredients on the label before I bought and opened it… waste for me, but hopefully I am informing others so they are aware of exactly what they are buying.

.. found it very helpful.. i eat it dry.. about 3/4 tsp am n pm smtms mid day.. i find eating it dry feels like its soaking up the acid.. tastes kinda like graham cracker.. i find it more helpful than dgl licorice tabs and more helpful than a capsule i bought recently that has aloe marshmallow elm and licorice.. i was hopeful for that but i think the amts were too small.. i have a hiatal hernia with strong reflux that i aggravated lifting drinking seltzer and extra spicy foods and extra chocolate on top of an incredibly stressful year.. i just read description and saw anxiety.. and im thinking it does have an effect.. at first i thought it was just soaking up acid of nervous stomach but i think it does actually feel calming..

Do not drink unless you like things bitter.I've made slippery elm into an extract, which is difficult, as everyone familiar with how slimy it becomes, can imagine.Though once the slimy gel is extracted from the herb it becomes sensitive to heat and/or stirring reverting back to a watery consistency, losing the ability to gell.During the drying process heat will over cook the herb turning it bitter as many herbs are prone to do.I didn't dry my slippery elm extract so I'm not sure how much heat would turn it that dark or that bitter.I added mine to other herbs and concentrated them together to make a syrup and a little heat and/or stirring broke down the gell. It still worked great in the colon formula I made.The few sips I could gag down of this product helped my colon; I will never try drinking it again.If you plan on capsules, know that as it won't gell, no worries about it because a capsule shape mass that will pass through without doing anything helpful. Which is why most people mix it with juice and drink it.If you need the coating and soothing effects of slippery elm, you may want the herb not the extract. Another herb that may be helpful is yuca root (great for inflammation).I hope this information helps you decide if this product is right for your needs and usage.

I started ordering slippery elm bark for a pretty severe case of GERD earlier this year and it seems to have helped a lot. I mix roughly a tablespoon of the dried powder into about 8-10 oz of water and then drink. the mixture, which provides a coating on the esophagus. I find I get the best results when I remember to do this shortly before eating, but it also helps during GERD flare ups as well. The product is always packaged well and arrives on time.
