Lunge without escape
Now known as porno shorts. Need a 70s triangle to go with them. They are high and snug but not big and flappy allowing access from the sides. These are man shorts and you need to own them like the southern confort advert or tom selleck in magnum pi.I wearing these i know im a man who swims ina lake without a wetsuit.Like my hair, shorter than most and not much there.

Diese kurze Hose ist etwas was ich die lange Zeit gesucht habe. Material ist hochwertig und basierend auf dem original-WWII-Muster was mir sehr gefällt. Wer sucht so eine Art Hose, die empfehle ich voll und ganz.

Important notes on the fit/cut.
Feel good, fit well, hope they work out.Important notes on the fit. These are cut very differently from modern shorts. However, there are 2 main factors to keep in mind with these:1.) The waist. This design of shorts has been in use for decades and was originally conceived back in an era where men's pants/shorts were meant to be worn truly at one's waistline. So, for people that say the waist on these is way too small, they're expecting these to fit relaxed and hang down on their hips like modern shorts. I wear 32W/Medium in all my pants, but I prefer my casual pants to hang at the hip, not up by my naval. These shorts sit up by your naval, but I was expecting them to do that so I like it. They are cut purposefully to taper ever so slightly from the hips up to the waist, not to mention the crotch is extra low, because they expect these shorts to be worn higher up on your actual waistline. So, if you order a size up, like so many people suggest, you will likely have shorts that hang down closer to what you might be used to for the waist, but the rest of the shorts are going to feel saggy and loose because they're meant to be up higher.2.) The leg openings. A lot of people complain about how big the leg holes are. These are meant to be worn by military swimmers. Fit, athletic men that spend all day swimming. Anyone that's ever trained for swimming, or even just seen a professional swimmer will know that those guys have huge legs. If you're some scrawny, military wannabe or some roided-out meat-head that doesn't believe in "leg day," these are gonna be loose and saggy around your thighs. Get in the water, swim some laps, build your quads up and I guarantee these will fit you much better. Not to mention, these are workout, training shorts. You need to be able to do all sorts of movements in them. You don't want them to be all snug and chaffing around your upper thighs.Just trying them on, I really like how they fit. Very classic design and look. They feel great and I can't wait to actually take them into the water. My only concern is that the material could be better. The D-rings aren't the sturdiest and the buttons on the fly feel like I'll probably be sewing them back on before long.Overall though I highly recommend them and I say you're safe to order them in whatever pant size you generally wear. However, if you want to be extra sure, get a measuring tape and measure yourself at your actual waistline, not down where you normally wear your other shorts.

The quality is very good and is damn near the same as back 25 ...
I has these as a standard issue in the Corps. The quality is very good and is damn near the same as back 25 years ago. The size is the moving target. They are designed to sit high on the waist so keep that in mind. If you have really skinny legs and no butt then you most likely will not like these shorts. I am 6'3", 240lbs and am very active in fitness. I ordered a 38 based on reviews. The waist is big but the loop belt takes care of the extra room. The leg openings are just the right fit because I tend to carry more size in my upper thighs and hips. The butt fits really nice but does have some sag in the middle to lower. Not sure why but there is a sag. Bottom line - very good product but just have the expectations and know what kind of shorts these are supposed to be before you leave a negative review.,

Heres what you need to know before ordering...
These shorts are based on the same shorts the U.S. Navy has been using for years, since WWII. Thats what I liked about them; the old school styling. I've seen reviews of these on another website, and ALL the reviews said the sizes run small and to order two sizes bigger than normal. So I did. I "normally" wear a size 34 in Levis. 34 is what I'm most comfortable in. Extra room. Size 33 is more of a "fitting" size, and size 32 pants I can definitely fit into if I'm going for that classic look, but I'm not entirely comfortable. These issues made choosing a short size difficult, as returning swimsuits is usually not allowed. I even went so far as to email the seller of these shorts and they have a %15 restocking fee for returns. I took the others advice and ordered a size 36.The sizing:Well, the size 36 do fit nicely around the waist. I can still fit a couple fingers in between my waist and the material, but it doesnt look sloppy or anything. Fits great. Around the waist. The leg holes are a whole nother story. The leg holes are really big and odd. I can fit my balled up fist in the bottom. The shorts are not lined with the usual mesh to keep your junk from falling out. If you're like me and you have big floppy balls, there is a big chance they will hang out the bottom. So you're going to want to wear some underwear or something. My girlfriend says the butt area looks "weird." I guess its "droopy." The shorts have one rear pocket.I am not sending them back to try a size 34, which may or may not make a huge difference in the leg hole sizing. Who knows. There is NOT a lot of info on the internet about how to choose the proper size sight unseen on these shorts. The make and material of the shorts is great. They are well made and worth buying. The shipping is pretty much the same price as the shorts, but for me, living in alaska, the shipping was like $24 for some reason!!! Another irritation!!! Had I known that I most likely wouldn't have bought them from amazon. So check the shipping rates if you live in a weird place. So, I would recommend ordering only one size up, and hopefully that will work out best for you. I ordered two sizes up and the waist is fine, a little loose, but not dumpy looking.I am going to keep the shorts, mostly because I don't want to pay the %15 restocking fee and I'm very impatient and don't want to go through the hassle. They do NOT look horrific on me and the leg hole issue is only really noticeable if you do a sumo squat stance. I'm not concerned about the butt looking "dumpy" becuasue I can't see my own butt and I'll be swimming anyway. But I pretty much regret buying them, just trying to make light of me paying $26 shipping and being too impatient to send them back for a smaller size.I hope this review helps as there is really no clear information elseware.Basically, you're just going to have to take a chance and write a helpful review on here too so others can be more informed. Thanks!!Shane
