How big are the bars? Half a dollar size?

A little bugger than a half dollar, smaller than a regular cookie.

Besides the fragrance that seems to be nice, does it hydrate your skin without leaving it dry, ashy, etc?

I love this soap. I have very oily skin. It's somewhat expensive but it's worth every penny. The smell is wonderful. I'm over 60 probably the last person Bvlgari expected to sell soap to!
