Q: Hi would this pump fit as my old pump model number is uv0814

Not sure. This was a replacement immersed pump for my caravan thetford toilet which had frosted up over winter. Firstly I bought a genuine "Thetford" replacement costing over £50.On close examinationI found that the pump was section was exactly the same as the cheaper available pump on Amazon / E-bay, the only difference being the little plug in bit that fits into the caravan wiring loop. So I bought the cheaper pump afterwards, cut the connector plugs off the pump and the failed "Thetford" pump and re-soldered the "Thetford" plug onto the cheaper pumps lead . Both the expensive and cheaper puump (now a spare) worked and I have a spare pump if ever needed. Basically the pumps are identical.

Q: Does the pump switch on automatically or do I need a separate pressure switch

no extra pressure switch required. Built in spring loaded switch senses outlet pressure and does the off/on function. make sure you use the volume chamber on the outlet side as shown in the instructions in the box.
