I just started this picture and am so excited to see the outcome. Hoping this will be a Christmas present for my stepson .

Gorgeous Christmas image, I love the colors used. The canvas comes rolled up, and in order to help straighten it out, it’s best to roll it up the opposite way, it stops it from rolling back up automatically, what also helps is if you place the painting on a flat table and lift the clear plastic halfway and place back down while smoothing the canvas flat at the same time and then do the bottom half the same way. The canvas has good stickiness, it is thin and has a plastic feeling to it, but in this price range it’s common, and doesn’t affect anything while diamond painting. I also know there will be some fraying around the edges which is also common with this canvas material but I usually cut the outer borders when I’m finished anyways. There’s 24 diamond colors using symbols, lower case, and uppercase letters. The symbols are very clear and easy to read in the legend as well as on the canvas picture. The diamonds look clear and do have sparkle just not as much as name brand which is ok with me, and for this price range I’d say they diamonds are great quality. They all look even and are consistent in size and shape, which is appreciated and important to me. I don’t see any misshaped diamonds, or crumbs while looking through them. The actual image measures 29.5cm wide and about 39cm tall. They include the basic tools to start and complete the painting (not the best quality so I use my own). They include 2 wax squares to pick up diamonds, the pen with a 2 diamond placer on one end and single placer on the other, and tray. They also included ziploc baggies and labels, and although you only get 16 labels (you would need 24 for this one), it’s really appreciated since companies usually don’t include any those two.Overall, I’m impressed with the diamond quality, I really appreciate the clear symbols making them easy to read (if you enjoy diamond painting, I recommend a light pad for underneath), and I’m looking forward to finishing, and will update with pictures when completed.

This is the first time I have done a diamond painting. This is what I know...* There is a canvas which is 14x18 inches.* There is a picture printed on the canvas and each color has a symbol indicating which color of diamond to use.* There is a sticky glue coating over the picture and over that is a layer of cellophane to keep it from drying out. This needs to remain on the sticky layer and be peeled back little by little as you work on the project.* Also, in the box there are small cellophane bags with the colored diamonds. There is a small shaker tray that you dump one color of diamonds into. Don't dump the entire packet. Just enough so when you shake them lightly, they will turn so you can load them on the 'pen'. The pen resembles a ballpoint pen except it doesn't have the ballpoint. It's an empty brass piece that has a hole in.* There are two, red square pieces of glue that are covered with cellophane. This is a sticky wax. Uncover the wax a little bit and press the pen into the glue. This will make the pen sticky which will hold the diamond until you press it onto the canvas.This is a fun project. Both young and old will have hours of fun together. My granddaughter enjoys doing these as well.
