Best Quilting/Sewing Iron I've Ever Had
This iron is awesome! Things I love about it-No pesky cord dragging across my project/fabric.Heats up quickly. It gets/stays hot enough to remove wrinkles from cotton. The steam function works fabulously. It's easy to remove and fill/empty the water chamber. It's okay to fill with tap water as long as you don't have hard water. It's lightweight and easy to carry.I love that both ends are pointed so it's easy to get into tight spots. This particular model stays on for 30 minutes before the auto-off function kicks in. (The other model turns off after 10 minutes.)The handle on the carrying case makes it easy to pack for retreat or take to class.

Great iron
It is so handy not to have the cord. It works well on my patchwork. It is small enough to travel well and big enough to do a good job.

It does rhe Job.
Irons well, but once the cord is pulled out it will never go back in.

Perfect for quilting. I love the no hassle cord.
Works well and is easy to use. Not too heavy. I wish I had bought sooner. Having a no hassle with a cord is so nice.

Iron feels very heavy
I'm not sure why people keep talking about how nice and light this iron is. Immediately I was struck with how heavy it felt and looked up the weight 4.4 lb. My former corded Panasonic was just under 3 lb in the new comparable version is 3 lb for the corded one. The weight might not be an issue for you if you do most of your ironing on a board, but I do a lot of vertical steaming. You do have to keep taking it back and forth to the base. A full size ironing board might allow you to put the base on the board if you're not ironing something large. For me if I'm ironing something large I have to put it on a table nearby so weight and convenience are a consideration.I like the cordless nature of this while I'm using it,But, I'm not sure if I'm going to like having to put this back on the base over and over while ironing something larger. It does heat quickly but I still have to stop what I'm doing.Plus, It doesn't fit in my wall mounted ironing board holder like a standard iron does.I'm considering returning.

Light weight and easy to use!
Because of arthritis in my wrist my current iron was just too heavy to use comfortably. This little steam iron solved my problem! LOTS of steam, very light weight, perfect for my quilting projects. Well worth the money and highly recommend!

Works very well
I love this iron for ironing seams and such when I’m making articles of clothing. It heats up quickly and does a good job. The steam feature is impressive. I wouldn’t recommend it for a lot of continuous ironing because you’ll need to keep putting it into the cradle to reheat, but for sewing, ironing, sewing, ironing, it’s great. I hate struggling with cords when I’m trying to maneuver my iron around seams in sleeves, necklines and hems, so this iron is great for that. I am not a quilter so I can’t speak to how it works for that.

What a disappointment!! It Leaks!!
What a disappointment! As a quilter, my iron is almost as important as my sewing machine! This one was a little pricey, but I'm willing to pay for good quality. I love everything about how this iron works: it heats up quickly, holds a good hot temperature for a substantial period of time, has a sturdy base, and is very maneuverable and good in tiny nooks and crannies. I use steam at almost every step of quilting, so I need an iron that steams. This one does... BUT, the reservoir leaks. A lot. In more than one spot. And Panasonic's 1 year warranty requires me to send it to them on my own dime and wait for them to repair or replace and send it back. Ain't nobody got time for that!
