Swede-OX8 Ankle Brace, Large

I had an achilles strain two years ago, and easily this is the best soft brace I wore at the time (several others were purchased from the drug store, and they just didn't have the support I needed). While I wore a walker/hard brace for long distance walking & work, this soft brace was just perfect for inside my small home and during sleep (we have hardwoods throughout that I didn't want to damage with the hard brace).While I have tried the CEP CEP RxOrtho+ Ankle Brace, Size III (Above Ankle Bone 8.75-9.5-Inch), Black, and I find it initially more comfortable, over time it becomes too tight and actually creates more pain because it is designed to compress/massage with light support, vs providing sturdy support (I found it was actually better later on in the healing process when I no longer needed so much hard support). This product actually has the hard supports along the sides (and they are removable), and I have taken the excess shoe-lace and wrapped it around my heel, as additional support to the strap (there is a lot of excessive shoe-lace).I give it four stars because the binding at the front came undone within a few weeks of daily use. Otherwise, it really made a difference for me.

This is key for small torn or injured ligaments in your leg! Had a tear i was fighting for weeks and this helped heal it up pretty quick!

best ankle brace I ever used. helped with recovery from a broken foot. was handy at night before I was done with the boot during the day. was a good transition after the boot. super velcro straps. wish I had had something like this for all those basketball sprains in high school!
