Fries at high temperature
This is wonderful oil. It can fry at a high temperature without smoking. It has no taste that I can detect, so it "goes with" everything. I use it for frying tortillas and making them crispy. I will buy more as soon as I've used up this huge bottle. The oil seems very healthy.

My go-to cooking oil
Switching to rice bran oil was a culinary revelation! Its mild flavor doesn't overpower dishes, and the higher smoke point makes it a kitchen superhero. It's like upgrading your cooking game without a fuss. Bye-bye, olive oil – rice bran oil is the new star in my kitchen!

Erm…
I’m not sure what I was expecting, but I thought it’ll taste different or something. It didn’t. Tastes exactly like other oils I have used and no stronger smells either.

Love it. Helped me with a better diet.

Not good
Definitely healthier than vegetable oil but I just don't like the taste it gives the food. It almost makes food taste stale. It's very strange and I wouldn't recommend purchase.

Good general purpose oil
Never tried rice bran oil before I received this giant bottle. Honestly I thought that I was gonna have a huge mess on my hand from the bottle leaking in transit. But, I'm happy to say that the bottle arrived completely sealed. The shipper did have the sense to tape the cap to the bottle before packaging. As for the oil itself, it seams like a decent all purpose oil to me. Not sure whether it's healthier than canola, but at least the smoking point is a bit higher. As with all oils, this one does have its own flavor. I mind it as much as I mind most other oils. That is to say, it doesn't bother me. If your taste buds are more sensitive, then maybe order a smaller bottle before taking the dive on this joug!

too expensive for 64 oz
It is too expensive for the 64oz bottle. Amazon needs to look into it. I feel being ripped off.

Good light weight all purpose oil
I thought I would try this to see if it would be a good alternative to the wide variety of oils on the market. Some are unhealthy, some good for cooking, while others are healthy, but not good for cooking. Rice bran oil is touted as both healthy, and good for cooking. My initial impression of this oil is that it is possibly good for anything calling for a food grade oil. Online articles describe many health benefits associated with rice bran oil when consumed in moderation. They also note that it contains a higher proportion of Omega-6 fatty acids compared to Omega-3; implying that it may be necessary to look to other sources to obtain the proper balance of Omega-3s.The oil has an almost unnoticeable nutty flavor, which would go well with stir frying, baking, salad dressing, or even homemade mayonnaise. It has about the same consistency and smoke point as canola oil, which I currently use for just about all of the above. At 47¢ per ounce it is significantly more expensive than canola oil at around 9¢ per ounce, so I'm not sure that the benefits will outweigh the cost when my supply runs out. Time will tell, and I look forward to using this new "super oil".
