Does what it says 'on the tin'!
My younger daughter is the cup-cake and muffin queen in our house so she was more than happy to receive this tray to add to her collection. She has used it in our electric oven and found it to be robust, evenly spread heat and well turned out mini cup-cakes to boot.As with most of her culinary adventures, it was 'muggins' who got to wash up and I am pleased to report that it was also very easy to clean - much to my added pleasure because some of the 'tins' she has used have been more of a 'scrub' which is never a good think with non-stick items! We believe that this product can be bought with confidence.

Expensive but (probably) worth it
I have always believed in spending a little extra on quality cookware and while you can buy much cheaper, this is an extremely solid bit of kit that should last you for years. If you do a lot of baking like us - and we've used this for both cupcakes and cornbread cakes - this is worth the investment. Only time will tell how well the non-stick will hold up, but after a few dishwasher rounds, this still looks very good. Use silicon utensils and this should do you for years.

Great quality!
A very well made durable non-stick muffin tin - suitable for small cakes and small muffins. Not the giant muffins, but the smaller "snack" size muffins. The carbon-steel is thick and this has the feel of quality. Ideal for more than just cakes and muffins, can be used to make potato cakes, vol-au-vents, bhajis etc. Great quality

Good quality 20 hole pan for deep fairy cakes
great quality, thick metal and non stick mini cup cake pan. There are 20 holes to fill and they take standard cupcake (fairy cake as they used to be called) paper cases. The "cups" are fairly deep compared to the more shallow fairy cake trays you get in the budget end of non stick bakeware that have 12 holes. The "cups" also have a dimple at the bottom that creates a dip in the bottom of the cake. I was concerned this would make the cakes difficult to remove from the tray but that has not been the case. The tray is easy to clean if you have used paper cases. I'm not so sure it would as easy to clean out the cups if no paper was used due to pushed up bottom of each cup and then the deeper rim it creates around the base of the cake (not sure why this is part of the design). I think it will last well as it is heavy and well made and the non stick coating seems thick and well bonded. It would be good for mini muffins . I used a 3 egg, 150g sugar/flour/butter mix and it just filled the cups with the mix coming about halfway up the cup, rising to almost level with the top of the cup on baking. This left some paper case above the cake to allow for icing/frosting. Great for younger children who cannot manage a larger cake and to limit their sugar intake but still have a treat - or for those watching their waistlines.

yum yum
SIZE====This is the ideal size for me, the little cakes are just the perfect size.WHY METAL==========I've had silicone trays before and they are always easier to clean but, and it's a big but: they wobble and they flexibility means they often spill. If you want the best of both worlds you can use this with silicone cup cases.CONSTRUCTION==============It's a solid cake bakeware tray which should last a few years. The non stick works very well.I USED THESE============Sweetly Does It Pack of 12 Silicone Mini Cake Cases and they fit perfectly.IDEAL=====They are ideal for afternoon tea. Little treat size cakes. I've made a few types of cake with this.OVERALL=========A nice little baking cup cake tray

Super Cake Tray
This is a very nicely made cake tray. Daughter is well happy with this as it feels solid and so far cleaning it has been very easy but time will tell if this remains the case.

Does the job, though has an odd design feature.
Seems fine to me. Certainly sturdy and looks hard-wearing and has successfully made a nice batch of cakes. I would think the newer; floppy-plastic ones would take up less space; this is quite a hefty thing, and I really don't know why it has indentations at the bottoms of the holes instead of flat bottoms: I can't imagine what good those would be and they would surely make it harder to get the cakes out and clean the tin if you weren't using cake cases (which we were). But as long as you do use cases, it works fine.
