FAHKNS Variable Frequency Drive 2.2kw 3HP AC 220V 12A VFD Inverter Single Phase Input to 3 Phase Output Frequency Converter for Spindle Motor Speed Control

This make the third one I have purchased identical to this. I have one on my wood lathe, one on my south bend lathe and one on my vertical milling machine. These required changing the motors to 3 phase. I set the Hz on all for 100 so that I would have a wide range of speed. I found that on the metal lathe that the torque at low Hz ie 15 is very good and usually the flat belt slips.I highly recommend these VFD drives .

I didn’t like the fact it won’t work. After spending 2 hours running wire and getting everything connected and setup it wouldn’t even power up. The screws that hold the cover on we’re all vibrated out. The terminal screws for the ground and 1 of the 220 leg screws had vibrated out. After more investigation I found my breaker was not giving true 220 power. Will try again with new breaker. I will update this review at a later time. I’m hoping it will work and I can give a good rating in the end. I started with a 1 star and will apologize if it was actually my breaker being bad.

The media could not be loaded. Purchased 08 August 2023. So I originally had this at 5 stars because it did its job. The only thing I didn't like is it doesn't have a way to reverse the motor without reprogramming. I learned to live with that. Well fast forward to mid May 2024 and the control panel would go spastic. Numbers would go from 0 when turned all the way down to anywhere from 40hz to 60hz. I would turn the breaker off every night and when not in use. Now it's basically a 3 speed vfd. I can turn it off, using a toothpick I can get about 40-50hz or it will run wide open! That's it. There is no way to purchase a new controller, as that's what's faulty. So I changed my review from 5 stars to 1 stars (if no stars was an option I would have given it that) do less than 1 week later my review has been removed! REALLY?? Make no mistake about it, o have this copied and pasted to my notes and I WILL keep submitting this review so no one else purchases this piece of electronics!

I just opened the package, I bought it because it showed a brake circuit as shown in the image on the sale page, the brake circuit is not populated on the circuit board of the VFD, I have not tried it yet and I will update if the internal braking is adequate or not.
